Step away from the bongYou can count on 1 hand how many sec teams generate more athletics revenue and invests more heavily into NIL than OU, and OU is not far behind

Alabama, Texas, LSU, A&M, and Georgia are absolutely bigger fish in the $ scene than OUStep away from the bong
Add Florida and Tenn to that list and Auburn and Ole’ Miss are right thereAlabama, Texas, LSU, A&M, and Georgia are absolutely bigger fish in the $ scene than OU
So. Much. Debt.Add Florida and Tenn to that list and Auburn and Ole’ Miss are right there
Yeah uo is so good at raising $ they had to scale back their football stadium renovation. Couldn’t get a donor to step up for softball until Loves came through after yrs of trying and still can’t get $ for basketball or baseball. Basketball had to be done through city of Norman.
Let us remember one of the greatest Open Meeting Act mistakes in the history that almost resulted in a demolished outhouse on the prairie with no metal to build withAdd Florida and Tenn to that list and Auburn and Ole’ Miss are right there

Had an older ou fan tell me that all the older uo fans like uo becaua ethat's where all the "important, smart" people go like doctors and bankers...So. Much. Debt.
I thought that deal got killed?Add Florida and Tenn to that list and Auburn and Ole’ Miss are right there

This is what ou fans say to make themselves feel good.Had an older ou fan tell me that all the older uo fans like uo becaua ethat's where all the "important, smart" people go like doctors and bankers...
Having heard this since I was a kid astonishes me at how much debt all those smart people have allowed to accrue in the name foothball...what was gained by allowing Boren to continue to not meet budgets? The campus has no where near the appeal that has developed in Stillwater, yet the have a stadium designed for maximum capcity and minimum air flow that will eventually kill all the old fans from heat stroke.
That generation is just about done.Had an older ou fan tell me that all the older uo fans like uo becaua ethat's where all the "important, smart" people go like doctors and bankers...

Dispute thisStep away from the bong
Dude they kept a top 5 class intact in a 6-7 season. So yes i can certainly see them maintaining their recruiting success through their time in sec so long as they continue to stay relevant.Curious to see if uo can maintain their recruit ranking when they arent considered an "automatic" qualifier for CCG & playoff in the eyes of hs players..players know the politics involved and I would wager that many come to snorman for early playing time and an "easier" road to the playoff...what if that is no longer true? I see a lot of grey shirts on Ala, LSU, GA rosters in the future...
So you can count on one hand how many sec teams generate more revenue and spend more in NIL than OU. That's what I said.Alabama, Texas, LSU, A&M, and Georgia are absolutely bigger fish in the $ scene than OU
ou has always recruited well, even in down years. No one disputes that, who are you selling to right now?Dude they kept a top 5 class intact in a 6-7 season. So yes i can certainly see them maintaining their recruiting success through their time in sec so long as they continue to stay relevant.
Last year they set a record in athletic donations of 109 million, which was the first time they hit 100 million in one year. Seems to be trending in the right direction. and theyre about to double their conference payouts in sec. the donor base has been energized, and they are funneling dough into NIL too, which seems to be working. unless it's all venables out there getting these guys to commit. OU's either broke or they arent.Add Florida and Tenn to that list and Auburn and Ole’ Miss are right there

how about when they go 6-7 two out of three seasons under venny?!Dude they kept a top 5 class intact in a 6-7 season. So yes i can certainly see them maintaining their recruiting success through their time in sec so long as they continue to stay relevant.
We’ve all said that!! . He left out Texas. Which right now in this league is the only one that can and has kept pace. Now you’ve got 7-8 in your league. The hubris is laughable. So you can count on one hand how many sec teams generate more revenue and spend more in NIL than OU. That's what I said.
neither riley nor stoops ever had 3 straight top 10 classes and BV is about to do it. And there's a big gap between the typical top 15 classes OU got in between the top 10 years vs the top 5 and top 10s BV keeps getting. just bringing in better players to replace the ones going out. every bit of riley's culture will be gone after this seasonou has always recruited well, even in down years. No one disputes that, who are you selling to right now?
In that hypothetical scenario it would be less likely. But we have to deal with realityhow about when they go 6-7 two out of three seasons under venny?!
