Oklahoma ranks No. 1 with 190 wins against Power 5 teams since the 2000 season. Ohio State is next with 182 Power 5 wins, followed by Georgia (172), Clemson (171) and Alabama (170). half the sec is far far down that list.

Only sec on the top 10 of this list is Alabama, Georgia, Lsu. Then of course blue chip ratio showing where the nation's talent is OU is ahead of all those mid programs behind only aggie, lsu. Which puts OU right in that tier behind alabama and georgia. noone else is closeView attachment 2336
Do you guys have super secret handshakes when you meet one another, or do you just smell each other’s ass?

Uo is 8-2 against the easiest schedule in the Big12 w the most favorable road games in the conference.

It’s rich how you guys think the Big12 is somehow out to screw uo. They gifted you a spot in the conf championship game.

Hardest game - TX neutral site
Next hardest - OSU in Stillwater
Then you get Fku on the road and bottom feeders BYU and Cincinnati on the road. iSU/WVU/UCF/TCU at home.

This was a gift and bc we can’t stand prosperity you despite crapping down your leg will still more than likely back door your way into the game w a chance to win the Conf.

Keep dreaming that a freshman qb who will not have a meaningful snap can hold up against TX/Bama/Tenn at home/neutral and at Auburn, Ole Miss and LSU.
Sure, they are this year 8-2 and just a few plays away from 10-0 during a rebuild. this time last year they started out 5-5 having suffered through two blowouts.

So this tells me that they have the capacity for improvement from year to year.

In regard to the big 12 and refs, well last year they called 3 holds against OU and texas opponents combined. That seems fishy that the opponents only held 3 times in like 2000 plays from scrimmage. I dont even need to get into the calls they have missed on both texas and Ou so far this year, needless to say we notice it. But OU should expect that by now.

Yes, they very well could be in the CCG again because osu cant handle success and could very well lose again. but i'd rather texas lose if i had a choice between which team i'd rather play again.

We are really excited about Jackson Arnold for sure. He's looked stellar so far, Thanks. And he'll have plenty of meaningful snaps during the non-conference slate to get his feet wet in time for their sec slate. very excited about that.

my gooner friends were back at being their obnoxious, arrogant selves yesterday...finally shut up when I reminded them UO would be in playoff conversation if not for the Pokes...
UO is squarely in playoff contention. If they beat washington, they are solidly in.

I gave you too much credit earlier in the thread. You seem like a nice person that's passionate about college football, but honestly man...none of us really care that much about OU's prospects in the SEC. Losing Bedlam hurts (as previously discussed), but beyond that....we won't have a reason to know or care about your team going forward. Most of us will probably cheer against them if we happen to be watching SEC football at some point on a Saturday, but doubt anyone will want to discuss any of it on this board.

Agree with everything except the "seems like a nice person that's passionate about college football" part. His purpose on this board is to troll and cause trouble. That is typically not a character trait of a nice person. Accordingly, he was literally on here posting during the gooner's football game. That doesn't look like someone that is passionate about football to me, at least not uo football anyway...

explain please. I'm making a good point about how OU will be competitive based on the talent they have now, and the historical success they have enjoyed over most p5 programs.
You’ve been winning against a 9 game P5 conference schedule where only 1 team has talent equal to yours. The other 8 don’t even appear on your list and are probably man for man 20 or more men deficient on an 85 man roster based solely on recruiting “blue chips”

Go back and look at your list. Now add Tennessee who is recruiting better and Ole’ Miss. currently your list has 7 teams in your new conf who are recruiting better or within 10 players on an 85 man roster of uo. Add Tennessee and Ole’ Miss and you have 9 teams with talent better than or within 10 players of uo.

Now look at the big12. Aside from Texas which has always been on your schedule and Nebraska, there are and have never been (outside of 1 or 2 yrs and never w consistency) Any conference teams in the big12/8 w talent within 20 players of uo.

On top of that there are no venues (outside of BPS the last 7 or so years) in the big12 where you have to compete w the atmosphere.

Sure you’ve won conf championships but outside of a magical run in 2000 that was really no different than our 2011 run it’s been damn near 40 yrs since you can say you could line up across from anybody and out talent them.

You’ve won conf championships the last 50 years bc your talent has been far superior than any team save 1 team (Nebraska then Texas). You’ve had the advantage of playing that 1 team (Texas) on a neutral field unlike any other team in the Big12 who every other yr has had to go to Texas.

Your own list proves you no longer have the talent edge over 7 teams and another 3 are within 10 players of being equal. And you have to go to LSU, Bama, Tenn, Oxford, Auburn, College Station, Athens, Gainesville. Those are way different than Stillwater, Ames, Lawerence, Lubbock, Manhattan and Waco.

You left out this is the first time they have had back to back road games in conference, they got a larger piece of the revenue pie than other members, they never have to travel to whorn u and no one had the cajones to vote against them on any rule change (Baker Mayfield rule for example). Their life is nine short months to go from running the thing to trying to survive.

But the Big 12 refs have been out to get them for 2 years now!
