Cowboys in the NIT

This was the most pathetic showing of the year. Bringing the suspended guys back was a mistake and we'd have been better off giving those minutes to Guetta, Crotty, and Cole. Anthony Roy really left a bad taste in my mouth with his lazy hero ball crap.

Lutz has one year to show that he's not the reason this team looked so poorly coached, and he better take a hard look at his returning roster. Who do we realistically want back? Clary, Miller, Vuk, and the freshman bigs? Do Crotty and Guetta really look like Big 12 players?

Wasn’t able to watch the game but the final score just looks embarrassing. Was it as bad as the final score looks?

This team has appeared to not have internal leadership all year. No pride, no embarrassment for the poor play.

I can’t believe, from a talent perspective, WSU is 26 points better than OSU. Embarrassing.

I'd take Ahmed and send the rest packing

They are ALOT better than we are. If they could hit more shots close to the basket they might have won by 40. They probably should have been in the tournament but got hot too late

This really needs to change next year. Lutz needs to bring in high character, high motor guys without question marks. The kind of guys that don't look like they are half asleep when they are on the floor. Although this team won 3 more games, Lutz's year one team was much easier to cheer for. They at least left it all on the floor every night. This team left several wins on the floor for lack of effort.

Maybe after Bill Self retires from Kansas this year, takes a year or 2 off, he'll be finally ready to take the job here after Lutz is let go for being no better than Ford or Boynton.

I'm not ready to give up on Coach Lutz. Yes, he won fewer games this season than anyone hoped. The roster simply would not do as he asked, for whatever reason. That's on him. A coach has to develop the right mixture of mutual respect and intense work ethic that gets the job done. I think for some coaches that comes naturally. For others, it takes work. You see it in all successful coaches: Auriemma, Pitino, Krzyzewski, Popovich.

But the upside is that he's created a foundation where really good young players want to play, if our recruiting class is any indication (14th or 15th in the nation). That's not nothing. I imagine expectations will be high next year, but I hope fans temper them a little because we'll be a young club playing in the D1 league with professionals from world leagues. In addition, Lutz may need a year to develop this young talent. So while I am hoping like everyone else that something special happens next year, I'm really looking at year 4 of the Lutz Experiment as determinative.
