Christian Nationalism

All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.
A
Christian nationalist pastor Joel Webbon says that if we are going to live in a society where everybody gets to vote, then he should get 20 votes because "my voice is more important."
Obviously, someone who wants to have power and control over people under God. In Dusty Deevers case, he surely thinks he is worthy of at least 100 votes for being more special and equal under God as state senator.

I’ll tell you Mike what under mine’s Christianity. People who profess to be Christian yet totally ignore the Sermon on the Mount. I don’t recall Christ saying mistreat immigrants. I don’t recall Jesus saying lying is acceptable. Etc etc etc
These people who have a form of religion but deny the power there in have calloused their hearts. They are making the wrong choice. If a tree bears bad fruit it’s only good for the fire, certainly not worship. Pull your heads out brethren, you are supporting evil IMO

US State Dept. touts Great Replacement and Christian Nationalist ideas in wild Substack post

Last week, the department published a post titled "The Need for Civilizational Allies in Europe," in which author Samuel Samson – who also serves as Senior Advisor for the agency's Bureau for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor – says the US and Europe have "a unique bond forged in common culture, faith... and above all, a shared Western civilizational heritage."

But Samson argued that current social and political issues in Europe will inevitably have repercussions in the US.

"Across Europe, governments have weaponized political institutions against their own citizens and against our shared heritage. Far from strengthening democratic principles, Europe has devolved into a hotbed of digital censorship, mass migration, restrictions on religious freedom, and numerous other assaults on democratic self-governance," Samson wrote.

"Europe's democratic backsliding not only impacts European citizens but increasingly affects American security and economic ties, along with the free speech rights of American citizens and companies," he later added.

Samson is a 2021 college graduate with no experience whatsoever as a diplomat. He now serves as an aide to Department Secretary Marco Rubio.

He has written essays in the past about "entryism," a strategy in which a small group joins an organization with the intent of changing it from within, which he and others appear to be implementing now.

Critics slam the underlying themes of Samuel Samson's blog post

Samson's post has been getting a lot of attention as critics have accused him of touting a number of far-right ideologies, such as the Great Replacement theory, which the National Immigration Forum defines as the idea that "welcoming immigration policies – particularly those impacting nonwhite immigrants – are part of a plot designed to undermine or 'replace' the political power and culture of white people living in Western countries" plus aspects of Christian Nationalism.

Christian nationalist pastor Jack Hibbs suggests that Trump is imploding because he has "[turned his] back on Israel" and also because Trump has "never really come to Jesus Christ": "God [is not] someone that we should toy with."

Wonder how many Old Testament laws that “pastor” is violating as he appears to shave the corners of his beard and wear clothes of differing materials. He also seems to have some weird anger issue about LGBT and operates a church out of a strip center. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a child predator and is projecting. Either way, he’s a scumbag for twisting scripture to call for innocent people to be executed or die by suicide.

Also the same goes to adulterers, such as Donald Trump, but evidently Evangelicals pardoned him.

“If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife—with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress are to be put to death” (Leviticus 20:10).

"The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians, who acknowledge Jesus with their lips, walk out the door, and deny Him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable."

I will take Things MAGA Morons don't understand for $500 Alex

When your the Face of your brand of Christianity in Washington DC and your politics begin to offend the very ULTRA CONSERVATIVE Church you Belong to...then your Rhetoric is not grounded in the Message of Jesus Christ and your are pushing an Anti Christian MAGA message.

Mormon Utah senator Mike Lee alienates conservative Mormon Church leaders with 'bellicose' MAGA stunts

"It was Father's Day morning, but Mike Lee was still hard at work on social media. Just before 11 o'clock, Lee posted an image of Vance Boelter, the man charged with murdering two Minnesota lawmakers a day earlier. 'This is what happens,' Lee captioned it, 'when Marxists don't get their way.' Ten minutes later, he posted again. 'Nightmare on Waltz Street,' he wrote, suggesting that Minnesota Democratic Gov. Tim Walz was to blame for the grisly murders."

The Politico reporter continues, "Lee's posts generated near-instant national backlash. His mentions filled with people calling on him to resign. Minnesota Sen. Tina Smith, a Democrat, cornered Lee at the U.S. Capitol the next night and gave him an earful. So did Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar, another Minnesotan. A top aide in Smith's office wrote a letter to Lee's staffers rebuking them for 'making jokes' to 'compound people's grief.'"

Benson emphasizes, however, that Washington, DC isn't the only place where Lee drew strong condemnation for his comments on the Minnesota shootings — he also "set off a debate in Salt Lake City" and offended Mormon Church leaders. Lee himself is a Mormon, like former Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah).

"Several of the church's senior leaders saw the posts and were concerned," Benson reports. "Lee is a prominent Latter-day Saint, arguably the best-known elected church member in the nation. His insensitive words were reflecting poorly on the faith at large. One church official estimated the backlash from Lee's posts would have severe repercussions for the church’s public image, the first person said."

Benson adds, "As extreme as the situation was, the issue at the center of the firestorm was nothing new. For two-and-a-half years, Lee has been sliding deeper and deeper into a hyper-online echo chamber…. But for Lee's church, that bellicose online alter ego poses a problem. Even as some Christian denominations have delved into Christian nationalism or partisan politics during the Trump era, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, commonly referred to as the Mormon Church, has consistently called on members to do the opposite: to be 'peacemakers' in the civic square."
