Fascism Test

If you want to take the test.

If they changed the wording on those questions from "the state" to "the government" I think that many if not most progressives would agree with the statements.

Fascism Test

Result chart

You are 16% Fascist, which makes you Not Fascist.

While your political outlook may share a few (or even quite a few) of fascism's fundamental doctrines, it is overall safe to say that your political orientation is *not* a fascist one. Now, you may find this result unsurprising, but in reality, most people have at least some points of agreement with fascism since fascism is really a mix of communism, socialism, conservatism, and liberalism, with a few innovations of its own thrown in. Hence, adjusting for these factors, even though your fascism percentage might seem quite high, there is really nothing surprising about these agreements, when viewed in their proper historical context, so rest assured: Your political beliefs are definitely not fascist.

When in the facism thread yes.
And that was my point. If you change the context from "state" to "government" then many progressives agree with many of the statements. If you think it's bad then maybe you need to change your political philosophy. As a for instance, one of the first questions in the survey was:

"A plurality of political parties is necessary to ensure that no one circle of individuals gets too complacent in power."

We have a famous column from Thomas Friedman in the New York Times extolling the virtues of single party rule:
"One-party autocracy certainly has its drawbacks. But when it is led by a reasonably enlightened group of people, as China is today, it can also have great advantages."
Thomas Friedman, New York Times, 2009

So, if your progressivism resembles fascism just a little too much by agreeing with statements if you change the words from "state" to "government", then don't be a fascist. I quit the Republican party because I don't want to be associated with racist neo-fascists because I am not a racist neo-fascist.

Weird, I thought post
If they changed the wording on those questions from "the state" to "the government" I think that many if not most progressives would agree with the statements.
Was a bare, unsupported contention that most progressives are, in fact, fascists (which you’ve now supported with a single opinion from a single progressive who may very well have fascist leanings IMO) rather than cautionary advice that IF your progressivism resembles fascism, then don’t be a fascist.

I honor your movement out of the Republican Party for the reasons you’ve stated, but not so much at all your contention/opinion that most progressive are, in fact fascists.

And I’m a not in any party guy myself as well.
