Bedlam: Cowgirls at Sooners

Will we be the number one team on Monday since we beat both Texas and OU? Probably not since OU wasn't number 1 when we beat them.
Recency bias says no. The Texas series was too long ago to carry that sort of weight now. Texas would also have to lose to Tech for us to have any shot. They won’t unseat them from #1 after a road sweep.

Oklahoma State sitting on a nice 18-8 lead in the All sports Bedlam series going into tomorrow. 🤠

So it sounds like Ivy IS NOT 100% but we don't know the injury?
On the telecast today, they just said a rib injury but no additional details. It just goes to show how tough Ivy is to battle through the pain as a pitcher. I am not sure if it really matters but might consider resting her through B12 tournament to see if it improves at all before NCAA. We should have a top 8 national seed locked up now. So, it could be argued that the costs outweigh benefits to have her pitch again before NCAA. You may be able to even skate by regional round without using her.

For ivy it’ll be pain tolerance issue that’ll linger into the postseason. Which makes Aycock’s emergence more important. Just an unfortunate injury from what I have been told. Kinda like Miranda elish with a bicep injury couple years ago

The bad part is rest does no good, she just has to deal with it or not. She’s extremely tough mentally, she kept her mechanics together.

How did she break it? My goodness that is impressive, what she did with a broken rib!

I’m not sure when she did it…..just know she left the game last week holding her side. On Sunday, she told me that the dr told her to wrap and rest…..then she be good to go for this weekend.

It was Wednesday when I was told about the rib by someone within the program.

TBH, I never broke a rib….i don’t know how much pain a person can endure doing that much movement……I respect the hell out of her. She one tough cookie.

Thanks for the info. I have never broken rib either but know if it hurts to breath, can only imagine the pain doing what she does. And with minimal or no impact on her play.
