Welp. Can only hope losing this series will be embarrassing enough to propel them into a tear through the post season. Saddest back-to-back showing we've had in a long time.

If this was football, the OC (Shippy in this case) would have some explaining to do and maybe left on the tarmac in Ames
 
Just watching stats on phone. Why didn’t we pull Ivy after back-to-back HBP’s
 
For 3 yrs straight playing Iowa St…..we play uninspired ball. It’s very frustrating and inexcusable. No need for me to say anything negative…you guys pretty much said what I was thinking. Hope the ladies redeem themselves by salvage the weekend in tomorrow game 3.
 
I know it's probably not in the coaching textbook....but one thing that could be a motivation is to point out that if there was ever a year someone could knock off the evil empire, and their pitcher Kevin Durant, it's this season. This team is one of just a few teams with the potential to do it. This team....firing on all cylinders and locked in.....has the potential.
 
Unpopular opinion: the loss of Maxwell is beginning to show from the depth standpoint. We only have two arms that the coaches trust. With the jump Rosenberry made, we would’ve had the deepest staff in the country

Imo it’s a harsh reality. In a Twitter space few weeks ago, I’ve talked about OSU pitching staff only has one true starter in Lexi Kilfoyl.

Nothing against Ivy Rosenberry….she has done a fantastic job improving her game to help the team. But she still scares me at times when she does serve up cookies across the plate. Unfortunately she been exposed by giving up I think 6 HR in the past 5 outings

Kyra Aycock has hit that Sophomore wall(slump). Her expression is either she hurting or soo frustrated that she lost confidence in herself. I believe it’s the latter. With that, it may be taking a toll on Kilfoyl and Rosenberry running out of gas before season end.

I totally agree if Maxwell did stay, we would’ve had one of the deepest pitching staff. With Ivy came along like she did…we would have fresh arms throughout the season.
