Who Should OSU Hire as Next Basketball Head Coach?

Just curious. If Admin decided to keep Boynton for at least 1 more yr w stipulation that he hire an Offensive Coordinator and actually surrender offensive control and we could guarantee that Garrison, Dailey, Small and Keller all returned would we be ok w keeping Boynton?

As long as that OC spot doesn't go to Kasey Dunn...

All kidding aside I really wouldn't be ok w keeping him even then. But given the consensus is he'll be here at least one more year regardless, this is making the best of a bad situation so yea why not?

I certainly don't see raises for anyone on the staff. As for Keiton, I think he needs to get some HC experience before we ever think of moving him to our HC. I have believed that Boynton needed to ga a few years ago but the buyout wasn't practical. I thnik what may happen is that he has been or will be told that if he can keep the team together than he gets one more year, if not he will be out as long as there are some donors to pay the buyout. No sources or anything just my opinion.

I would welcome Hoiberg. Proven he can get it done was great at ISU. Total record at nebraska hasn't been great, but it is nebraska. The only power conference team to have never won even a single tournament game. Heck, we should steal him right this very second and get him out of Lincoln before the season ends just to keep the huskers winless tourney record intact, because it's hilarious.

Not saying we should hire this man - but what do you do if you’re Keiton Page at this point? Does he have a desire to be a head coach? If so, does he leave for a smaller job somewhere and come back when is resume is built or just continue to remain patient on the bench here until… when?

Or is he just super happy and grateful to be an Oklahoma State icon supporting the program any way he can?

He's got to pull a coleman scott. Unfortunately, Keiton has never been around a coach that knows how to win. Going somewhere and refining his craft in a leadership role will make him a better candidate.

Interesting bc a few games back OSU bench got warned for being to vocal towards the ref and it was Keiton. Then against UCF )might have been same game he was so red in the face after we gave up easy buckets and you could see his body language and he was just ticked. Then last hoo age bs Tech he didn’t sit in his usual spot up the bench next to Boynton. He was last coach separated from other coaches by couple of player seats and down in the middle. Didn’t watch any byu so I don’t know if this continued.

This might be a positive thing and he’s spending more game time in discussion w players. Or maybe he’s had enough and been more vocal.

So what chances is everyone putting on Boyton getting fired April 1st? If he does not get fired I expect we hear the AD come out and say he will be the coach through next year sometime before that. Right now, I'm putting it at 70% he stays and 30% he gets fired April 1st. The longer we don't hear a vote of confidence from the AD the better the chance he gets fired.
