True. The "whoa is us" and railing on the AD at this point also reeks of nonsense.

I know I said 'whoa, is us at the bottom of the league' all season long.True.

I don’t know. K-State hired a proven FCS coach in football and seemed to work out pretty well for them. If you can coach, you can coach. Division doesn’t matter.Chad is now looking at Div 2 for a new HC. The number of candidates who've said no, is staggering. I thought Chad would've already had a new HC ready to sign after firing Boynton. But, yeah.. that was a huge mistake. More than likely OSU basketball will not have a HC when portal opens. In other words, the current state of OSU men's basketball.. yikes. It simply cannot get any worse.
Chad, what were you thinking? How do you fire a HC without a replacement ready to go? I understand that not having an immediate replacement ready to sign immediately after firing a HC... But, good grief. Chad screwed up big time. Nobody is calling him back, and nobody wants the job. Y'all can keep slamming me all you want.. I am merely a messenger stating facts, not opinions.
We will have a Div 2 HC. Not good. At all.

What's funny about this is yesterday at the baseball game I spoke to an OSU professor who almost didn't come to Stillwater because all he knew about Oklahoma was what he was exposed to in the panhandle.
Stillwater is great....even better in the summer when most of the students are gone.Stillwater would be an attraction to me, but I’m old, and I grew up in a place so small that you still can’t get a pizza delivered there.
This is exactly right. It's not like McCollum has ran through D2 with ease because he has a roster packed full of McD's All Americans going up against glorified youth group teams. To win at any level as highly and consistently as he has requires intricate knowledge of the game and how to assemble a roster and game plan. There may be some hiccups while he learns some things about D1 that weren't of consequence in D2, but if the man can coach, he can coach, plain and simple.I don’t know. Reading a little bit about him, he seems like a big culture guy. Coaches that focus on culture as OSU always seem to have success and fan engagement. Look at what Coach G did with softball in a short amount of time by focusing on getting players that fit his culture that he wanted to build. This is exactly right. If we end up hiring him I have zero qualms. F the people bemoaning him being D2.

I think most would take McCollum over Boynton. McCollum has proven he can coach, even if it at a lower level.Chad is now looking at Div 2 for a new HC. A basketball equivalent of Coach G? Sign me right tf up NOW.Reading a little bit about him, he seems like a big culture guy. I loved living in Stillwater for a lot of reasons. I don't know where I'd be if I didn't go to school there.Stillwater would be an attraction to me, but I’m old, and I grew up in a place so small that you still can’t get a pizza delivered there.
