WH hints of military invasion of Venezuela

Whew! Michael Yon shreds Trump's Venezuela dreams during interview with conspiracy fanatic Mike Adams. Yon calls Trump a boy in an old man's body who is a part of a system out to destroy America. He even calls Trump a straight up Soros policy guy. Yon is proud for not supporting Trump for one day. He could see what kind of sorry character Trump is from the very start.

Yon knows MAGA hates him. But Yon also hates Democrats. Oppose both. For the future, Yon doesn't want to predict exactly what will happen but things look to pick up. That much is clear. The conflicts are all about routes and resources.

Well, according to most of you liberals, I'm extreme MAGA, and I think he's brilliant, so....

An additional big reason why Trump had Maduro arrested is that he may be coerced or given a plea deal if he will reveal how he was involved in or knew how Venezuela rigged the 2020 election. But that is Alex Jones level conspiracy.

JD Vance: "The way that we control Venezuela is we control the purse strings, we control the energy resources. And we tell the regime, 'You're allowed to sell the oil so long as you serve America's national interests.'"

I doubt other South American countries like the sound of that. While not nearly as much, they have some oil reserves, too.

Q: How much will US involvement in Venezuela cost the taxpayer?

Rubio: It doesn't cost us any money

Q: The whole operation costs no money?

Rubio: I don't have the numbers

Interesting that the admin wants to take heavy crude from Venezuela and “sell” it into the current market.

It looks like we have plenty of SPR storage capacity to take the bbls and store them. Let prices rise and then use the bbls to relieve price pressure as production declines.

But then again did we really expect anything resembling long term acumen from these guys?

NEWS: A U.S. oil executive told the Financial Times concerning Venezuela: “No one wants to go in there when a random fucking tweet can change the entire foreign policy of the country”

Sums up where we are right now.

We’ve seen this movie. Plot goes something like this. US destabilizes a country or region. Chaos ensues. D POTUS elected. Something goes not as planned. Right wing media distorts. R elected.

This is what I was wondering. Who’s taking the risk?

I’ve known two different Conoco families from Ponca (yep, pre merger old school days) that had to flee two different countries when there was a hostile government take over.

Venezuela and Indonesia. They were rushed to company planes and flown out before they could be harmed. I don’t see these companies being hunky dory about a return to a hostile environment in need of a compete infrastructure upgrade.
