He took a billion dollars from the O&G industry to get elected. His own net worth is up a staggering $3 billion dollars in less than 12 months. Musk has gone from $300 to $400 billion to an estimated $647 billion.

Trump alone can sit back at 5% and see his net worth increase more in 5 DAYS than 99.9% of the posters on this board will accumulate in net worth in their lifetime and I would bet his net worth @ 5% increases more in 2 weeks than the combined net worth accumulated in the lifetime of every poster on this board.

And he’s going to give companies valued in the hundreds of billions of dollars w CEO’s and executives worth hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars your tax dollars.

And you will sit back w your hand down your pants w Fox News on and facebook or x scrolling some anti immigrant AI bs and smile while thinking “I own the libs.”

Last year, before capturing President Nicolás Maduro, the Trump administration designated a Venezuelan slang term for drug corruption in the military as a terrorist organization and said he led it.
 
In the past few days:
1. We assault Venezuela and remove its dictator
2. We immediately claim we are going to run it.
3. We claim we will make it better for us and the people of Venezuela and cooperate with Venezuela to use their wealth for combined benefit
4. We leave in place the dictator's government and allow one of his second-in-command types to run the place
5. We continue a naval blockade that will soon collapse the Venezuelan economy causing strife, rampant poverty and remove the small economic gains they have made.

Can anyone make this make sense for me?

Look at it through the prism of U.S. involvement in the 1954 Guatemalan military coup of the elected government.

Look at it through the prism of the CIA's support for Augusto Pinochet in Chili.

If you do, it all makes sense. It's not about improving the lives of Venezuelans. It's not about democracy or freedom in Venezuela.

It's about the resources that can be wringed from the country with a cooperative fellow kleptocratic authoritarian at the head of the country.

Again, as I've said before, I'm not defending Maduro in any shape, manner, or form. Good riddance. Let's just be real about what is really going on here.

The irony is that this all will accelerate migration, when reducing it is what MAGA supposedly wants.

Correct. And Noem has opened the refugee door. Whether you're for or against any type of migration to the US, the subject is another about turn from the Trump Admin.

I don't know how MAGA is not going to get their ass kicked in the coming elections. I guess it depends on the size of the MAGA no matter what following.

Trump is a con man. He was a con man in most of his ventures before becoming president. And he has conned a sizable portion of the population into thinking he has their interests in mind.

I agree though, I think they are swept in the midterms. Probably somewhere between D+10 to D+15 versus 2024 if the special elections are any sort of indicator.

I feel like there is a vast difference in con between his first term and his second. They want JD Vance in 2028. Cruz even wants to throw away a bunch of money and run again. There is a lot of AF on the right that are refusing to vote for JD and will damn sure not vote Cruz.

2. If midterms are on the up and up, I believe Dems will sweep bigly. IMO, there is just above a 0% chance the trump admin lets that happen. We're talking about potential impeachment of trump and prison for a number of other people.

What does project 2025 / 2026 say? It's literally laid out in a book for us, so we shouldn't be surprised when it happens.

There are far less adults in the room in his 2nd term.

JD Vance is an empty suit bought and paid for by Peter Thiel. I think a lot of people are on to him now about that. I don't think he will be the eventual nominee.

I read about a JP Morgan silver stock position and they have a new silver smelter built or nearly complete in Venezuela already. Apparently, there's a lot of silver down there.

Trumps net worth had doubled from a little over 3 billion to over 6 billion.

O&G companies will take in 10-20 billion of our money in subsidies.

O&G executives will walk away w 10s if not 100s of millions in stock options and bonuses.

Meanwhile back for the average American

Wages will stay relatively flat
Unemployment will rise (even in O&G)
Health care costs will rise
Utilities will rise
Car insurance will rise
Health insurance will rise
Home insurance will rise
Transportation costs will rise
Home costs and maintenance will rise
Service costs (plumbing HVAC) will rise
Food cost will rise

But hey brown people are being deported/ not eating cats and boys aren’t going to school and having their weenies cut off anymore.
