This is from a friend of mine who is retired Military special ops. Found it interesting and a little scary, if we're taking back oil that was extorted that is also feeding Russia on the cheap
"Based on my own experience and opinion, here are a few (of many) things that I believe are most-certainly happening in Venezuela right now.
Separated in high-level strategic activities and then more “boots-on-the-ground” activities.
High level:
- It is quite clear that the U.S. has had CIA agents embedded in Venezuela for some time, even within Mudoru’s own circle. Certainly, the CIA would have been having a LOT of assistance from within the country itself
- Regardless of how the Trump administration wants to word it, this is, for all intents, a U.S. occupation of Venezuela
-The U.S. will run Venezuela for now will be responsible for ensuring safe, fair, and honest elections and assist in maintaining law and order during the transition
On the ground:
- There’s no doubt that we have Special Forces, with the assistance of local forces, rounding up Iranian-backed Hezbollah operatives as well as Muduro’s own posse
- By now, the U.S. has surely seized all of the government’s documents, cell phone activity, email activity, etc. This will all have to be interpreted and analyzed in order to trace dealings with drug cartels, Iran/Hezbollah, Russia and China. This takes a while.
- People loyal to Muduro are for sure being fired from their positions from the local level to the top. And some will be arrested.
- The U.S. is absolutely seizing the government-owned oil company by now. Trump has made it absolutely clear that he wants back every single drop of oil that Venezuela extorted out of American oil companies.
- We would, by now, be helping all levels of government in establishing chains of command and security.
The people are celebrating their liberation today.
We will be getting enormous amounts of cooperation from within.
But, we learned in Afghanistan that you can never be 100% certain who your local friends really are.
I’m happy for the people of Venezuela this evening. It looks like the celebrations are going well into the night across the country.
Prayers for the injured U.S. servicemen who were injured."
