Yeah. I don't think there is a world where someone top less at the WH is ok or in good taste. The person was banned as they should have been.
To your point though, it was insanely stupid to think that was ok. There is a lot of debate from the LBGQT community about how come a straight couple can have PDA in public but a gay couple can't. That's reasonable but I don't think anyone with half a brain is OK with a biological female to flash a bunch of people at a public event so this wasn't OK either.

You can have Transgender Day of Visibility on Easter and full on upset a huge swath of America, and make another huge swath of America go "ooof that was stupid". Or make maybe at most 5-10% of the country happy. Guess which one wins elections.
I googled what Obama did for the day....earliest I could find (maybe more was done didn't see it) was a statement from the White House in 2014.......5 years after it was adopted....Joe Biden was VP then.....did it not matter then....or did it begin after he didn't have to win re-election and have VP that wasn't running? Obama knew how to win....Obama's politics are left of center but he dominated the centrist vote. You want to do stuff you have to win.

And that is why we are failing as a nation. Essentially our leaders need to win elections, not lead. That is why we now have a government that is flat out lying to our faces as long as it keeps them popular with their voters.

I'm guessing it was the exact same but no one gave a sh!t. Only reason it blew up last year was, as you said, messaging. That messaging was the right side deciding it needed to be pissed about something that just happened to fall on Easter purely out of coincidence and they knew they could make people angry about it by spinning it as "Biden hates baby Jesus".
