US continues to go backward...

more limited taxes?

So, you listed BEAD and 3 specific things from BBBA two of which you are advocating increasing taxes on Americans. In the past, you had been against higher taxes, at least when the tax policy benefitted you.

I started to ask you why you want Americans to pay higher taxes when in the past you have claimed support for tax cuts that I felt were not in our interest because of the ballooning deficit. But, I'll let you ask yourself:
One of the greatest mis directions was the culture/class warfare of the govt spending your money on other people’s problems. It’s still going on today.

We can pose a simple solution to SS solvency. Eliminate the income ceiling or at the very least create a donut hole between the current cap and say $350,000. Make it applicable to capital gains on transactions greater than $500,000.

Propose this and you get the counter argument of wealth redistribution by making wealthy individuals pay for other people’s retirement when they won’t see a dime.

Problem w this argument is that some of the people paying more in FICA are most likely the beneficiaries of an upwards wealth redistribution and this segment has been for the last 40+ yrs. Doubt this? Just research wealth gap or CEO pay vs hourly or blue collar pay spreads over the last 40 yrs. That’s where the wealth redistribution happened but you don’t hear about flood up economics.

Your previous questions were about TCJA, which I do support expanding.

SALT: Increasing the SALT deduction was not part of TCJA, in fact it is the opposite(TCJA limited SALT). SALT increase has many problems: in helps taxpayers only in high-tax states, shifts the tax burden further, and subsidizes high-tax states at the expense of others.

Expansion of child tax credit: The other one is child tax credit. The BBBA made this tax credit FULLY refundable. Meaning families could receive full amount if they had earned zero income. It is also poorly targeted. The benefit including people who never tried to work during the tax year. The new expanded tax credit is not a tax increase, it is income redistribution without accountability. The launch of this expansion has already experienced errors and ineligible claims.

Taxes should be applied fairly and broadly as possible. I also strongly support repealing the carried interest tax loophole.

I am for government that helps people and spends taxpayer money responsibly.

You are also consistent. You are pure selfish. You want government that helps you and spends on the wealthy, and don't care if programs that help others are cut as long as you maintain or are rewarded. Your posts and your claims are never congruent.

Now, how long do you want to keep going with the idiotic behavior of you writing what I "think" and I write what you "think?"
This is what you do, as shown by the multi-quote earlier.

Nobody needs you to write a post to tell them what I think. They can read my own words and form their opinions about me. The board has certainly formed an opinion about you.

When people point out your behavior on the board, you simply double down on the worst sides of it.
Again, you have created your reputation, yet you want to point fingers at me. Very Trump-like, never wrong, never in doubt, and blaming others for your faults.
But if we don't stand up for those poor billionaires who will!?

So how do you re redistribute the wealth that has been shifted from middle class and poverty line people through wage suppression and income tax manipulation to high income earners and wealthy shareholders/corporate executives?

Racism, alive and well in America…disgusting…

You want to see what hate looks like, go spend 5 minutes looking at her list of donors.

These people are 100% on board with cutting school lunches for kids, probably scream about socialism, and identify as Christian.

So, the way that TCJA was applied unfairly you are ok with. But you want to point out problems with other ones that coincidentally don't personally help you like the TCJA did.

In what way are you claiming the TCJA was applied unfairly?

You appear to think I am pointing out things to keep that personally help me. Interesting argument considering that the two items that I am advocating cutting are both good for me.

Let me remind you:
*that I made money off of BEAD and even way more from the silly COVID bill that provided funds for telecommunications (ie the $2.4m that eastern OK received for the public WiFi to nowhere)
* this whole last several pages started when I replied about the $1B paused. That was supposedly financing school counselors. Both my wife and younger daughter are school counselors. The article that was posted said those funds would be used to hire school counselors. Which could help my wife/daughter, but they will both tell you money is better directed to more classroom teachers.

The same way that I explained it to you last year and you replied with your typical obtuse misdirections. So, nah, not again.

The Bible clearly defined who are the legions and warriors of heaven and this bunch if ignorant fools aren't them

Indiana Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith told an audience of Christian nationalist pastors gathered for a TPUSA event that they were "the Navy SEALS of the Kingdom of Heaven."
