I hope most people wouldn't dare be caught dead or alive in those gaudy $399 gold shoes. Probably Trump still thinks wages are too high and against raising the minimum wage, so who among his uneducated flock can afford them.
Anyway, probably Trump talks behind their backs saying something like, "I still can't believe my supporters are so gullible as to take everything I say as true. They're the joke, not me.
