When I was a teen many years ago, I was over at the house of one of the kids in my neighborhood and pick up a book called "The God of Rock." This book cataloged from a Christian perspective the satanic influences of rock bands at that time. It bascially portrayed bands like Motley Crue, Judas Priest etc as full blown Satan worshippers trying to steal teens from their parents.
To an impressionable teen, it all sort of made sense. They did have satanic symbolism and some lyrics. The reality now that they are all older and you see interviews is they are just nomal dudes. The "satanism" worked well to sell rock music to impressionable teens to make more money.
I wonder how much of the MTG/Boebert schtick is real and how much of it is a show to sell their politics to impressionable adults to make more money.
