The language of the 22nd amendment is clear and not ambiguous. No President can be elected more than two terms, That should have been a lay-up answer for that judicial nominee. Conservative judges have typically been the ones with a stricter reading of the Constitution and Liberal judges more with the interpretation.
There is no way to even interpret the Constitution allows Trump to be elected to office again (or any backdrop way for him to remain President after 2028).
No Senator should vote for this nominee.

And these nominees were obviously coached in their responses. Does that indicate a strategy?

Did you notice, he opened it up to all of the nominees and not a single one would support the constitution over the wannabe dictator?
This wasn't a lousy nominee. This disregard of the constitution was a REQUIREMENT to be selected by this president.

THAT is why we can't just look at Trump based on if we like certain policies or not like most of us have before. There is no president in our history that has demanded that type of control. It is dangerous to the nation.

Obviously they were vetted so that they are only selecting Trump syncophants.

Look at this scenario, what if one said: "As a federal judge, the 22nd amendment is clear and I would rule that no person can have a 3rd term until our constitution has changed."
Not only would that be the correct answer, it would secure the democrat votes. What is a republican supposed to do, vote against a judicial nominee for supporting the constitution? What is Trump supposed to do, withdraw the nomination for supporting the constitution?
If that person was a true conservative republican, that is the answer. You can stay true to your beliefs, and almost assure your nomination.

But, not a single one of these people are true conservative republicans. They proved they are Trump syncophants. They will risk their nomination to stay loyal to the person, not the republic.
