Stephen Miller claims that in Portland "ICE officers have to street battles against antifa, hand to hand combat every night, to come and go from their building"

Collins: "I spoke to the police chief of Portland last week. He said the president's claims just don't match up with what's happening on the ground."

Leavitt: "I would encourage you as a reporter to go on the ground...You're probably talking to partisan Democrat officials who are opposed to everything this president does."

Easy follow-up. "If it is that bad for the citizens of Portland, why isn't the president there showing his leadership and support?"

If there is one part of the profession where Trump knows alot of people its bankruptcy law.

BREAKING: Trump says he’d consider invoking the Insurrection Act if courts block deployment of National Guard troops

President Donald Trump said he would consider invoking the Insurrection Act to deploy the military into cities if courts block his deployment of National Guard troops.

JB Pritzker: “It is illegal to call up the National Guard or to send troops into American cities. The Posse Comitatus Act prohibits that. Donald Trump has gone way beyond the Constitution. It’s clear there is something wrong in the way he views the United States. He is violating the rights of American citizens”

"This escalation of violence is targeted and intentional and pre-meditated," Illinois Gov. Pritzker says of the Trump admin.'s deployment of the National Guard to Chicago.

"Trump's deranged depiction of Chicago ... was just complete BS."

A New York Times reporter Monday called Kristi Noem's Department of Homeland Security feed "very worrying" and an "egregious overstep" by the agency.

my question would be are there republican voters in Portland, Chicago, LA, etc. and if they see that the national guard is not needed in their cities, shouldn´t that hurt the GOP?!...I guess it doesn´t matter for the electoral vote, but for Houses, Senate?!... am I ignorant?! (no need to answer that last one)
