Trump 47

¨Insurrectionists carrying foreign flags...¨ GASP...shout out to markwayne also...
I think the Confederacy is the official flag sponsor of insurrections. It’s a little disrespectful to ignore that and use another country’s flag. They need to get with the program.

Waving a foreign flag in a protest where private property is being burned isn't as awesome as you think it is. This isn't about 'having flags' and it's a complete misrepresentation of what is happening.

I'm not a Trump fan and I don't like sending in troops; but imagine trying to live in France without a visa for years. Then when French authorities come to ship you back to the US you start burning cars and riding around on a motorcycle with the American flag.

Why are we the only country in the world that is supposed to put up with this and aren't allowed to remove people who entered the US illegally?

I have no issue with the Mexican flag being flown. Back when the Irish faced similar threats, they used to fly the Irish flag then also.

That being said, I do have an issue with the low number of US flags. Don't let the far right co-opt the flag like they have with the Gadsen flag. The optics of police brutality and authoritarianism against people with US flags would look horrible, its a PR gimme.

I agree waving the Mexican flag is definitely bad optics. Even when I agree with the roots of the protest.

If you want undocumented to become documented, an easier route would be to hire more judges and staff temporarily

I felt the same when I saw Confederate flags in January 6th. But didn’t agree with those actions.

Also, the immigration drama is to hide that wealthy people don’t pay taxes and we’re getting baited into Hunger Games.

The problem is that wealthy people have up to many millions to bribe politicians and entire political parties, while to most everybody else giving $1000 to their campaign funds is being quite generous.

my two cents on the US flag is that by flying or carrying the flag, it represents pride in the way things are in the US. If you fly a flag today, it means you are happy or satisfied with the direction of our country. tRump and the magaś have embraced the flag (except for when many flew it upside down during biden years). Of course many? of the maga´s have the US flag with don on it somewhere... when I see a US flag flying at a home or on a truck/vehicle today, my mind immediately goes to ´maga´ or tRump supporter...is this wrong of me?! I suppose, but that´s me being honest...I personally do not fly the US flag, but actually have rarely done so, even when I have been at peace with where our country is...I would not fly one today, because I am not happy with the direction our country is going...

I fully agree with the first half of your post, and not the second half.

It is unfair and unreasonable to declare someone "illegal" after years of accepting them into the community. We hire them, rent to them, let them buy cars, let them get insurance etc.

I look at this similar to adverse possession. You shouldn't accept your neighbor's fence line for decades, then after the person is accustomed to it try to claim they were wrong in the first place. We assisted them to set up their lives, then decided they are "illegal" and are now destroying them. Ok, let's be consistent at least. Destroy all the "illegal" businesses that hired them. Destroy all the "illegal" companies that sold them products "no doc" knowing they were undocumented. Why do we only use the "illegal" term for the person and not the rest of the system that also acted illegally and profited from them?

Right now, it's going even further.

Even legal immigrants are being deported.

Reporter: “Gavin Newsom is daring Tom Homan to come and arrest him. Should he do it?”

Trump: “I would do it if I were Tom. I think it’s great.”

gavin newsom tells fox la this morning: “donald trump is reckless, he’s immoral…he’s taken the illegal and unconstitutional act of federalizing the national guard and he’s putting lives at risk.”

“there was no collaboration, there was no counsel, no consideration of the rules of engagement.”
