Trump 47

I did before and will continue to throughout this presidency as well. I find it not smart to give them free excuses to hide excessive price hikes.

This is often easier said then done. Great in theory, but can be a challenge in some areas and goods. Monopolies and near monopolies need to get broken up.
Monopolistic control of markets is an entirely different issue as far as I’m concerned. As is anti-competitive collusion.

Agreed, but IMO you should address those separately by policy actions rather than resorting to government established price controls.
Agree. The best solution is for FTC (?) enforce existing rules against those actions and congress to provide clearer and more enforceable rules.

Although I do agree it is better for congress to be more specific on laws and less regulatory authority with agencies, I don’t think more laws are the answer. What “more enforceable rules” are you advocating for?

IMO, start with eliminating/reducing regulations which make it difficult for additional competition to innovate and enter the marketplace.

Two of President Donald Trump‘s appointees to lead the Federal Bureau of Investigation firmly stated that Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide Sunday, causing an uproar from MAGA supporters on social media.

Holy crap. That is the most reasonable statement he's ever had. I'm kinda impressed.
Rings really hollow and insincere after all the crap he’s said about him. I’d bet he didn’t even know that statement was going out under his name. No words in full capital letters or misspelled words is a big clue he definitely didn’t write it himself.

NPR has identified nearly 40 small, independent entities – both inside and outside the federal government's control – that a team of young DOGE staffers has tried to access in recent weeks.

As I've said, there are no actual conservatives left in the GOP.
Rep. Chip Roy is fighting the fiscal fight, but there are only a couple willing to push against raising the debt ceiling. The fact congress is trying to raise it by over $4T is a testament to how poor our elected officials care about the future of the country financially —— everything is short-term thinking.
