The importer pays the tariff. Wal-Mart can absolutely pass that cost to their customers. But the real goal is for them to find domestic suppliers.

everyone? BS. The vast majority that hated it before still hate it but understand that trumps tariffs give Walmart the excuse to raise prices. IMO the only reason trump cares about Walmart raising their prices is because they said it was due to tariffs and that looks bad on him. See Amazon price adjustments a week ago.

Were you screaming “pure corporate greed” and calling out corporate price gouging and profit taking previously when Biden attributed some of the inflation to it?

If you don’t like a seller raising their prices, go someplace else or buy different goods in replacement.

I did before and will continue to throughout this presidency as well. I find it not smart to give them free excuses to hide excessive price hikes.

If you don’t like a seller raising their prices, go someplace else or buy different goods in replacement.

This is often easier said then done. Great in theory, but can be a challenge in some areas and goods. Monopolies and near monopolies need to get broken up.
