A city official in Stockholm has said the municipality has no plans to comply after one of its offices received a letter seeking to impose Donald Trump’s rollback of diversity measures, in what is believed to be the first such missive sent to a foreign government.

“It’s so bizarre,” said Jan Valeskog, Stockholm’s vice-mayor for planning. “It’s our political priorities that count, not the ones from this embassy or any other embassies.”

If he thinks he’s king his royal toadies need to use the 25th amendment to get rid of this blot on our history and place in the world. What’s next? Standing on the Temple Mount and declaring himself God? IMO he’s that crazy. We got an American Pope today and that picture of him as a Pope is pure insanity . The other end of the spectrum is closer to the truth. “You shall judge them by their fruits.” Liar, felon, crass, embarrassment who wipes his humongous posterior with the emoluments clause daily. My hope is this new Pope can help lead those who claim to be Christians who’ve been led astray from truth and help lead them back into the fold. Truth matters, without it, this is what we get.

Not sure if you know or not or if this is even a valid question. Can contempt charges from judges (possibly from SCOTUS) be pardoned by POTUS? Thinking this for white house cabinet members not following judicial orders.

Contempt charges are judicial/administrative in nature. There’s not a conviction. It’s an interesting question, but I wouldn’t think direct contempt citations from a judge would be subject to pardon.

How big is the leap to stop reporting economic numbers, crime statistics or really anything that paints the administration in an unfavorable light?

In the first week, DOGE had already shown us this administration will in no way be constrained by things like *checks notes*…uh, facts or accuracy.

I already assume anything coming out of this administration is wildly false and made up. At this point it’s like they’re playing trying to figure out how big they can go with their trolling and still have the MAGAstani continue to support it.

Other world leaders…both allies and enemies….know he is full of .

The oligarchists that are cozying up to him know he is full of and are using him when he thinks it’s the other way around.

Hell, even some of the cultists are starting to worry that he might be full of .

His egotism and narcissism is basically leading him to dare anyone to actually do anything about it. So far, no one…at least in the US…has had the courage to try. Maybe if it gets bad enough, someone will pull the trigger and act. (Note: I am speaking absolutely metaphorically when I say that. I am in no way advocating for or suggesting violence against him is the way to go).

I don’t hold out a lot of hope in the near future. Landslide blue midterms would help staunch the bleeding. Going directly after SCOTUS like his snarling chihuahua attack dog Stephen Miller is might also lead to at least five of the nine justices growing a backbone.

It’s the hope that kills anyways. Nothing much I alone can do except batten down the hatches and hope to survive the storm.
