Trump 47

What’s telling is your ignorance of their stances.
What is telling is that you rely too much on emotions and your own personal biases to formulate thought. Yes, the people listed are extreme.
* I didn’t come up with the article and study of Dems moving further to the left , a self-identified liberal did.
* Govtrack, an independent group,
* ranked Kamala Harris the most liberal Senator
* ranked AOC as the 20th most liberal congressperson out of 435 for last year
* ranked Sanders as the #1 most liberal Senator for last year

I get they don’t seem extreme to you because you are heavily to the left, but compared to other elected officials they absolutely are. And that is not to say they are bad people or that it is wrong to support something an extreme ideologue likes…I recognize Jim Jordan and Marsha Blackburn are extreme, but I do support them backing tax cuts.

A lot has changed since 2021, which is when the article you posted was written.

A lot has changed in the last 90 days.
And it quotes a blogger that in 2021 started off the article O'Donnell cites in his article with "This wasn't meant to be a rigorous scholarly analysis.", and with his conclusions being based upon a 1 to 10 scale of "his own making".

@GratefulPoke if a 2021 study is too old, is a June 2024 better? BTW, I do like the bolded portion — I hope that trend continues.

For those seeking balance in this polarized moment in American politics, Gallup offers news that initially seems good. The polling firm finds Americans are becoming increasingly socially liberal while generally remaining economically conservative. Using a crude definition of libertarian and classical liberal ideas, growing social liberalism paired with economic conservatism sounds encouraging. But the ideological shift is all one-sided, with Democrats moving left much more than Republicans moved to the right—threatening not balance, but a wider partisan divide.

There has to be middle ground. There are valid points on both sides. There is a million miles of room for compromise. 70% of people are against trans athletes competing in sports in the gender they transitioned to according to CNBC so not some right wing outlet. Pushing that agenda was so incredibly stupid and actually hurt the trans movement.
God makes trans people....1% of all births are intersexual..meaning hey have both male and female reproductive organs

This means 35k people are born this way EVERY FRICKIN YEAR

Drs and parents get together when this happens and try to determine the more dominant hormones and then proceed medically to remove one set of sex organs and assign the child a gender based the data....AND THIS IS CALLED SCIENCE!? and we assume every decision they made was correct !!???!

however, what if they picked the wrong one? What if the sex organs or hormones they thought t were dominant at the birth changed and the incorrect sex was picked by the Dr and parents?

Now when that kid wants to move to where their body is telling them ......that's UNGODLY MUTILATION

Get the Eff outta here
Let's get common sense on Trans

1. It is naturally occurring...it happens to humans every fricken day that kids are born this way .IE if your religious...it is divine because God knew you in the womb

2. It can't be Science at the birth to pick the gender and then be Evil Anti Christian Morality when the gender is picked later BY THE PERSON WHO DIDN'T GET A VOTE IN THE FIRST GENDER CHANGE and want to change BACK

3 why in the world does the US govt need to be involved in this situation!!?? They don't and shouldn't be.

There is a legitimate need for trans care

There is no need for mass regulation and govt involvement on this topic

We all need to understand this is natural and find a damn common sense path forward

Thinking Harris was not far left more than tips your hand.

I don’t claim to be a centrist. My ideology is strongly libertarian. Very strong fiscal conservative (why I like Trump tax cuts, but don’t like his spending) and fairly liberal on social issues.
I dont think you are libertarian. Anyone "fairly liberal" or libertarian is and would be shouting from the rooftops about the whole CECOT/civil liberties situation, and I have seen nary a word from you.

You might not be outright maga and probably know people to the right of you, but you are a conservative, even if you dont like or are uncomfortable with the label. It is the shoe that fits.

Breaking news: The Trump administration has asked the Internal Revenue Service’s top attorney to revoke Harvard University’s tax-exempt status amid President Trump’s row with the institutions that his administration views as "woke."

You can call me whatever you want…makes me know difference. I was telling you my views and showing you two different studies that refuted what you thought was fact.
And no argument that compared to many posters on this board I am much more in favor of small government and would labeled a conservative.

This

I'm guessing true blue libertarians would be more on the lax end with immigration. Not necessarily open borders type stuff but more if someone is here and isn't bothering anyone then it's not the biggest priority in the world. Violating human rights and telling the courts to pound sand when they tell the executive branch they can't do that. It's nuts that ANYONE is willing to turn a blind eye to that, much less someone that claims to be liberal socially

A Trump ally has told CNN’s parent company that they could avoid future lawsuits from the Trump administration if they make a documentary about Melania Trump or a TV show about Donald Trump Jr., which would involve paying the Trump family large amounts of money.

A coalition of Jewish groups warns that the Trump administration stripping international students of visas under the guise of fighting antisemitism actually makes Jews less safe and undermines the rule of law.

I can see certain sports where depending on the age at transition, maybe they have a benefit physically after a few years. But for most sports there's been nothing to show a lasting positive unfair impact years later.

I think the rules need to be sport to sport specific. This should not be a ham fisted approach.

Not that you are going to change your mind, but here are your studies stating the opposite:

The top one is Pew Research, the gold standard. When the data comes out for the firat part of 2025, there will be an even larger shift IMO.

Trump should at least be big enough to ask of the El Salvador dictator and say, "Things did not go as well as I thought they would with this Garcia guy, so release him for me, and I'll send him straight back to you if and when the court rules that he must be deported after all.
He's a wife beating gang banger. But don't let that stop you from defending him.

That should be proven in an American court of law at the appropriate level of proof for the court the proceeding is held in before he gets shipped off to an El Salvadoran gulag though…..right?

I think there is a ton of variables….as you said it could be sport to sport but how do you say you can golf but not wrestle….i don’t know. Saw a lady painted as a “hero” for not wanting play disc golf against a trans person the other day…..does there even need to be genders at all tossing really accurate frisbees? As long as you don’t say this is an abomination based on my chosen unseen 3000 year old god or you’re a bigoted transphobic asshole I’m listening. I’m just saying it was one of the dumbest political hills to die on ever and it did impact the election.

Yes, the Washington Times. That's totally an unbiased source.

Let's play a game.

I heard you were hunting homeless people for sport during COVID. Do you want to defend yourself against the accusation or should we just ship you off to some hole in Central America?

And if you say but I'm American so this doesn't apply to me, well I've got some bad news about that.

That should be proven in an American court of law beyond a reasonable doubt before he gets shipped off to an El Salvadoran gulag though…..right?
He was in America illegally because he was afraid for his life from a rival gang. His wife, who is now supporting him for the payout, filed a restraining order against him for domestic abuse. I have no problem whatsoever with him being deported. An American court of law should have already done so.
