See bolder statement of yours......yes, you are the troll.

That is absolutely in no way true.

I'm in no way suggesting that there AREN'T ANY "leftist loonies" that are contributing to the "proliferation of the insanity" and rise of political violence in America. I am arguing that saying "Trump is a danger to democracy", No Kings rallies, and other criticisms of Trump (per your absurd meme) aren't responsible for the "proliferation of the insanity" and the rise in violence.

I am also pointing out that "MAGA loonies" are ALSO contributing to the "proliferation of the insanity" and rise of political violence in America. That is a position you seemingly reject out of hand and that is the reason why I'm calling you a troll.

But you could EASILY clear up this whole thing up by CLEARLY AND DIRECTLY answering a couple of very simple questions. Not by answering a questions with absurd questions that you think prove your point, but clearly and directly answering them:

1. Are "leftist loonies" SOLELY responsible for the "proliferation of the insanity" and rise of political violence in American society?

2. What responsibility/role, if any, does "MAGA loonies" (not talking about Trump alone, but MAGA followers/supporters/amplifiers), have
for the "proliferation of the insanity" and rise of political violence in American society?

First one is a very simply answered yes or no question.

Second one is a follow up depending upon your answer to the first.

Let's really test whether you're trolling or not.
1. Solely? Obviously not. Mainly? Obviously so.
2. The responsibility falls mainly on the right trolling the left incessantly over their insanity which compounds the insanity.

Yes, you and I both know I'm guilty of trolling the radicals around here. You should also be aware that I don't troll those who I respect as decent humans.

1. We disagree on "mainly". Very much so. I would say a more accurate and true statement would be "approximately equally" with MAGAstanis/Trump/"Loonie Rightist" whatever you want to call it.

If you don't troll those who you respect as decent humans, and I HOPE you are referring to me as a decent human.....

Are you ready to renounce/withdraw this statement you made about me, " If they'd done the same to anyone threatening Trump you'd be screaming about freedom of speech and threats to democracy."

That is absolutely not true, and I think you knew that when you posted it.

Question for the board....agree or disagree with this claim?

"Those who label the president as a fascist, as a threat to democracy, and compare him to Hitler to score political points are fueling this kind of violence".

Disagree

It is the language of Modern Politics...

And FYI I can pull about 200 more just like these examples.

The administration sees pronouns as a sign of the dreaded so-called "gender ideology."

I don't know why anyone would, or even could, disagree with this claim.

It does fuel this kind of violence. Is it the only or even the majority cause....no, not at all.

Our political rhetoric has worsened ,and what has been deemed acceptable, has increased over the last many years. It is not a left or right specific problem, but bad actors from both sides certainly contribute to fueling the violence.

Agree. People who compare Trump to Hitler fuels violence.

How many presidents since Hitler do you think have been compared to Hitler? It's way more prevalent the last decade but it's always been there.

If you want to argue it's more mainstream than say when Clinton was in office I would completely agree though.

Not sure. But I'll bet it fueled violence then too. It's hard to quantify though.

All of those statements, whether true or false, incite anger which can lead to violence in some people.

You are right it has worsened that last 10 years. In my lifetime have never had a president talk about people the way the current president does.

The question as asked. Agree.

Several of you have not watched enough House of Commons or Parliament in the UK

I would say, this level of violent and Rhetoric against elected officials is fairly common in mature Democracies
