Aside from mortgage interest I don't get any of those. And Im guessing there are millions who live in HCOL areas that rent and don't get that.

This is the Syrian leader, correct? I don't have an issue with the Whitehouse trying to improve diplomatic relations with a former foreign adversary who is now trying to align his country more with the west. Politics can make strange bedfellows and this is something that has been done by us for decades if not longer.

Something about this tells me there is a BUNCH of money missing somewhere and the only way he can replace it is with the Tariffs and if his Tariffs are struck down and he has to pay Americans back for the over charges, that the Govt is somehow NOT going to have enough money to pay it back for some mysterious reason

President Donald Trump defended his controversial plan to bring hundreds of thousands of Chinese students into the country on Monday, declaring, “I know what MAGA wants better than anybody else.”
During an interview with Trump on Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle, host Laura Ingraham grilled the president over his plan to bring in more foreign students to keep American universities afloat.
“A lot of MAGA folks are not thrilled about this idea of hundreds of thousands of foreign students in the United States,” said Ingraham. “You’ve said as many as 600,000 Chinese students could come to the United States. Why, Sir, is that a pro-MAGA position when so many American kids want to go to school and there are places not for them, and these universities are getting rich off Chinese money?”
Trump responded, “We do have a lot of people coming in from China, and we always have. China and other countries. We also have a massive system of colleges and universities, and if we were to cut that in half, which perhaps makes some people happy, you would have half the colleges in the United States go out of business.”
“So? So what?” shot back Ingraham.
“Well, I think it’s a big deal,” replied Trump.
The conversation continued:
He then concluded, “You don’t want to cut half of the people, half of the students from all over the world that are coming into our country, destroy our entire university and college system. I don’t want to do that, and don’t forget MAGA was my idea. MAGA was nobody else’s idea. I know what MAGA wants better than anybody else, and MAGA wants to see our country thrive.”
