I didn't click on the link at first but looked after I saw your comment. Yeah, of all the things that this administration has done I find repulsive, this isn't one of them. Im guessing hes not the first Pres/VP who served to make that joke.

This goes to a larger problem with the anti Trump faction. They try and make everything into something. There are so many things going on right now that it doesn't do anyone any good to push something taken completely out of context.

Underrated comment. As the US is more fully revealed to be an unreliable actor, we will continue to lose investments and trade partnerships. This whole isolationist movement is succeeding, if the goal was to teach the rest of the world to get along without us. The US should be experiencing a major case of FOMO right now, because we’re gonna miss out on decades because of this.

Today we have a little leverage bc we are the 800 lb gorilla. As the world weans itself off fossil fuels (see China and Australia where they have so much surplus they are actually giving away free electricity). As South American agriculture markets become more reliable. The US will lose leverage and basically become China’s beotch. We are squandering prosperity and the opportunity to lift all boats bc we couldn’t figure out how to deal with immigration correctly, healthcare costs, energy policy and national debt.

But hey we no longer have 5 boys competing in women’s sports.
