It required Vance to break the tie. If he was serious he would have not voted for it until it had his full support.

Also, there is a part of me that says, they passed it, now they have to own it. The argument that they are doing this to cut the deficit doesn't really work if the first thing that happens is they undo their biggest spending cut. If life were fair they would own it, but based on the timing of spending cuts its possible we would have the Democrats in power by the time we start to feel it and guess who would get blamed for that.

The whole thing is a clown show.

Does he think this only works one way?

For the record gerrymandering is garbage. It takes the will of the people out of consideration and creates districts where extremists are put in power over people willing to represent all. But you cant say its okay if I do it but not if you do it too.
