Trump 47

Hey, if a bunch of small businesses go under so that some of the president and some of his benefactors can make a bunch of money, that's a small price to pay for owning the libs.
you beter be grateful because those benefactors will provide jobs that you can work at for the rest of your life and your kids and their kids can work there too.

Yes, because that's everyone's dream. To see everyone in your family, generation after generation, go work in the mines so someone else cam get rich while you die of the black lung.

Trump: "I could announce 50 to 100 deals right now because I'm the shopkeeper and I keep the store. I know what countries are looking for and I know what we're looking for and I can just set those terms and they can go shopping or they don't have to go shopping, because everybody wants to shop here."

President Donald Trump plans to announce while on his trip to Saudi Arabia next week that the U.S. will now refer to the Persian Gulf as the Arabian Gulf or the Gulf of Arabia, two U.S. officials told The Associated Press on Tuesday.

1. BREAKING

The Trump administration has ordered US intelligence agencies to step up spying on Greenland.

Several high-ranking officials under Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard issued a "collection emphasis message" to intelligence-agency heads last week.

They were directed to learn more about Greenland's independence movement and attitudes on American resource extraction on the island.

Worth noting that Trump has already fired the TJAGS for each branch of the military. Those were the top lawyers who advise on the legality of orders.

He’s done the same with the FBI, CIA, NSA, DOJ, and DHS.

Then, 20% of the 4-star generals

New reporting shows the Trump White House is debating whether to apply the laws of war—which apply only to armed conflicts—to allow them to circumvent U.S. law and detain and target people based just on their say so.

That’s patently unlawful.

Just have a deal where we'll have zero tariffs on you if you have zero tariffs on us in return.

Since Trump thinks China and Russia want Greenland, I sure hope for his national security interests that he's also directing spying on what they're doing around Greenland.

Taking over Greenland is a bad idea. Doing so would only have more countries want to ally with China and Russia. Maybe even drive more countries to seek nuclear weaponization. Having a presence in Afghanistan for its $1 trillion or more in precious metals sure didn't end well after 20 years. Even though it's more sparsely populated, why risk the same with Greenland? Just set up a trade deal that develops their precious metals for sale. The continued advancement in global warming should make that easier to do. Trade not war.

Senior presidential adviser Kari Lake says Voice of America will rely on coverage from the far-right OAN network. OAN has offered unwavering support of President Trump.

President Trump and the U.S. Postal Service’s governing board are expected to name FedEx board member David Steiner as the nation’s next postmaster general, helping solidify the White House’s control over the historically independent mail service.

Always good when you get appointed to govern/control one of your few major competitors.

Congrats to FedEx, I guess. I'm sure Mr. Steiner will work very hard to improve the efficiency and productivity of a direct competitor so they will have a real battle on their hands once he leaves USPS and returns to FedEx.

I'm sure it will all end well.

MEEKS: Do trade deficits constitute a national emergency?

BESSENT: Yes

MEEKS: Do you know that for the last four decades we have trade deficits and nobody said it was a national emergency?

He is completely ignoring the globalization of commerce over the last 50 yrs. Granted not all countries/regions have the family income of the US but population size tells you the US cannot dictate to the world market like it once did.

EUROPE 750MM
European Union 450MM
China >1B
India >1B
SE Asia 700MM
S Amer 450MM
Africa 1.5B (but it does contain >70% of underdeveloped countries)

We are a shrinking piece of the commercial pie. We are isolating and ceding advantage to China in regions where we should be using relationships to build on the advantages we have worked decades to achieve.
All of that is true and this isn't a statement of support of current policy but you guys are ignoring the real source of our economic power.....the world trades in dollars. We are the biggest consumer and will be for some time as our poor folks consume like the top half of the population you posted above.....but the dollar is the undisputed king of currency. It's why BRICS can be such a big deal. You establish a common currency between those nations and that's when our stranglehold vanishes. That isn't a thing yet but that's the threat of BRICS more than anything.....particularly with crypto currencies being easy to create and more accepted.
