Trump 47

Because your side let them flood into this country unvetted for 4 years. Had you "given a crap" about it then, maybe this wouldn't be happening now. Classic case of FAFO.

There is no question having an insecure immigration policy creates problems and is something Congress should have addressed decades ago.

Why do you post things that insinuate illegal immigrants will vote (and let’s skip the usual they already vote in some local elections)?

Good job DOGE

1. If you don't believe in due process FOR EVERYBODY, you don't believe in the Constitution. You don't get to pick and choose (like you do with the bible).
2. There is no such thing as a "fiscal conservative". Republican presidents have been horrific, fiscally speaking, for decades.
3. Where are all of you "don't tread on me" snowflakes? Time to sack up. This is what you've been preparing for your entire lives. Your countrymen are being tread on. Whether you agree with them politically or not, rights are being taken away.

And you people (Rob) saying this guy shouldn't have due process because he's a criminal gang member...you do realize that we have a convicted felon for a president, right? Laws mean nothing anymore.

@Vakarian74 what you and many on this board don't see is how out of touch the dem party is with reality. That's not to say a massive amount of the critiques of Trump and his policies aren't 100% accurate and there isn't some really scary stuff happening. Nothing was accomplished in the last 4 years and a lot got worse. The message of the Dem party right now is TRUMP BAD. That is 90% of the platform. And it isn't wrong. Trump is bad. But the dems aren't doing a thing a about it and screwing up on things like the border. Middle class families who's cost are up 30%.....part of that is Trumps fault but he is 4 years removed and people get paid weekly so memories get short.....don't care about the funding of private institutions their kids have less than a fraction of a percent chance of getting into with $50B in the bank. They don't care enough to donate $5 of their own money if it burned to the ground. They don't care about one guy who came here illegally initially with past gang connections when their local services are strained.... they aren't listening to a party or media that admits they don't have an accurate number for how many crossed, how many died trying, or the whereabouts of 1000s of children that now cares so deeply about one....don't expect an outpouring of empathy for a single person in Maryland when their schools teacher/student ratio changed, housing in their city went up, and wages in their area depressed. Don't expect the masses to understand the legality of a case when this is a board that is connected by the fact we went to a university and only one of us could really speak to the law with any accuracy.....everyone can see a party that acts like this is the end of the world but did nothing for entire term. They don't care if some of DOGE's "findings" are incorrect because some are correct and the totals of those are more then they would make in 1000 lifetimes if you just take 5% of them. Everyone has known for decades about wasteful spending.....doing "something" (didn't say the right thing or method) about it looks better than doing nothing but complaining. The masses aren't going to understand how tarriffs work in two months.....they aren't all going to understand how reckless it is to tariff Canada 25% at 9:00am and 0 at 5:00 pm. The message of "if tariffs are bad why does everyone do it to us" is better to families in swing states that lost manufacturing jobs than "you're blue collar you don't even understand what's happening". The dems entire focus is take down Trump not governing.....it's not a winning message and they are going about it horribly....idiotically bad because they are so out of touch with the rank and file middle class American. And that is no way a statement that Trump gives a single solitary shit about said rank or file or can relate to those people in any way.....but he is working on their overtime and tips not getting taxed and the dems are talking about Harvard losing 4% of what they have in the bank...no one feels sorry for Harvard. It's a loser and will be loser in the mid terms and next presidential election.

A Dem should join DOGE the majority of people like the idea....get involved. Find some things for themselves then criticize cuts that are incorrect or taking a hatchet to employees. Talk about changing massive bills....say "I messed up and voted for this and it needs to be cut but it was buried in a 2000 page bill and I'm going putting forth a bill to stop that".
A Dem should work with ICE the majority of people know the dems created the border crisis.....study the database try to create a system of these folks that are actual criminals and get them out, create one of good people that need help staying, say here is a real path to citizenship in a stand alone bill not one that is 80% of funding went to Ukraine or Isreal. Pick someone better than Garcia with a sketchy past and complex legal battle to plaster on the news.
A Dem should look into what money is going to private schools with massive endowments....they took DEI, a great concept, way too far to the point its unpopular....fight for public ed funding stop the rapid inflation of college costs and deflation of it's value. Not buy votes by sticking loan costs on people that didn't go to college.
A dem should get on board with banning red dye number whatever not criticize a stance on a vaccine most everyone took that didn't keep them from getting a virus....they lost a job and health care costs are skyrocketing....don't expect them to appreciate the X% decrease in hospital stays.....admit COVID was fumbled....go after pharma go after 50 ingredient food. RFK is a nut job but he is doing "something" and that resonates more than "you don't believe in science if you don't do what I say"

I'd run to vote for that person and I didn't vote in either of the last two elections.

All the dem party does is complain and throw insults at people. They act better than everyone while doing absolutely nothing. That turned off 20M people from all demos across the entire country....and the response has been to double down. The message of if you aren't with us you are racist, facist, dumb got it's ass kicked by a dumb racist because he talked about not taxing overtime....then did something about it. The dems coined the phrase country over party to justify skipping a primary....when their actions are party over country because they aren't doing anything but going after an opponent instead of governing. You can say the same things over and over and but it hasn't and isn't working. Again the dems just lost to a guy in orange make up with 34 felony convictions. Don't like Trump completely change as in 100% change your message and put forth something of substance because nobody likes a whiner and that's all it is now. .

The dems lost the middle class and middle of the political spectrum of all demos....20M of them.....to Kid Rock and billionaire with radical policies because people identify better with him. Maybe look at the marketing side and actually create an operations side.
I made it to "Trump is really bad, but it's the dems fault for not doing anything about it". Reminds me of when my brother would punch me with my own hand and say "stop hitting yourself". Then tell my mom it was my fault because I didn't stop him from wailing on me.

I also love the ending where you chastise the dems for not putting something of substance together. 1. That's a lie. Kamala had actual actionable plans that she went over ad nauseam. And 2. Why doesn't trump and the gop get held to the same standard? Their platform has absolutely 0 substance. It's all fear mongering about trans and brown people. Or blaming the economy on Biden.

Of course the dems talk about trump being bad, because he poses an existential threat to our democracy. By not talking about it, it gets normalized. And when that happens, which it kind of has, the country is in for a world of hurt.

You talk about marketing. Your entire diatribe here is nothing but "marketing" (read: propaganda) from the right.

The fact that courts are being ignored consistently is terrifying to me.

The courts have ordered this man's return and are being ignored. The administration has said that if he is returned that ICE will just deport him again, ignoring the court order again. The courts had put most of the people sent on a do not deport status that was ignored.

If the executive branch ignores court orders at will with no repercussions, then ALL rights become at the will of POTUS for ALL citizens.

You just make stuff up don't you ?? Or at best you are just regurgitating some falsehoods you heard on Fox News and immediately accepted it as gospel without checking it out.

From 2020 to 2022 where pretty much all immigrations was halted... we had this COVID thing and you see the COVID dip....but don't pretend that ICE removals are Dem vrs Republican thing.

Because Biden has been FAR outpacing Trump's Removal Numbers since Trump took back over. He hasn't even caught Biden Deportation numbers yet and Even FIRED his head of this department when that came to light and was reported on Last MONTH

And Obama and Bush FAR outpaced both Trump and Biden on Deportations

Biden carried out the highest level of deportations since 2014,

Trump administration takes aim at Harvard's international students threatens to "Revoke" Harvard's ability to accept international Students

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump's administration has escalated its ongoing battle with Harvard, threatening to revoke the university's ability to host international students as the president called for withdrawing Harvard’s tax-exempt status.

The Department of Homeland Security ordered Harvard late Tuesday to turn over “detailed records" of its foreign student visa holders’ "illegal and violent activities” by April 30. International students make up 27% of the campus.

The department also said it was canceling two grants to the school totaling $2.7 million.

The moves deepen the crackdown on Harvard, which on Monday became the first university to openly defy the administration’s demands related to activism on campus, antisemitism and diversity. The federal government has already frozen more than $2 billion in grants and contracts to the Ivy League institution.

Trump suggested Tuesday on social media that Harvard should lose its tax-exempt status “if it keeps pushing political, ideological, and terrorist inspired/supporting ‘Sickness?’”

Tax exemptions enable universities to receive large donations from major funders who want to decrease their tax burdens, which was instrumental in helping Harvard amass the nation’s largest university endowment at $53 billion.

The hold on federal money for research at Harvard marked the seventh time the administration has taken such a step at one of the nation’s most elite colleges. The government is attempting to force compliance with Trump’s political agenda at schools he accuses of pushing “woke” policies and allowing antisemitism to fester.

Harvard President Alan Garber said Monday that the university would not bend to the government’s demands. Later that day, the White House announced the freeze of more than $2.2 billion in multi-year grants and $60 million in contracts.

In a statement issued Thursday, the university said the latest threats follow “on the heels of our statement that Harvard will not surrender its independence or relinquish its constitutional rights.”

The school sticks by its stance and “will continue to comply with the law and expect the Administration to do the same.”

Any federal action taken against a Harvard-affiliated individual should “be based on clear evidence, follow established legal procedures and respect the constitutional rights afforded to all individuals,” the Thursday statement added.

Conservative strategist Christopher Rufo said the government should respond to Harvard’s defiance by cutting all federal money and stripping nonprofit status at Harvard and other Ivies that defy federal orders. Rufo urged the government to use the same tools it used during the Civil Rights Movement to force desegregation.

“Trump needs to follow through on his threat to defund one of the Ivy League universities,” Rufo said on social media Tuesday. “Cut the funding and watch the university implode.”

Rufo said Harvard has discriminated against white and Asian American students, citing events such as graduation celebrations specific to certain ethnic groups, along with a 2021 theater performance exclusively “for Black-identifying audience members.”

Tax experts say removing Harvard’s tax exemption would open the door for Trump or any future president to punish political enemies.

Nonprofit status is contingent on an organization following IRS rules governing lobbying, political campaign activity and annual reporting obligations, among other requirements.

While “it’s easy for a 501(c)(3) organization to maintain its tax exempt status," according to IRS publications, it "can be just as easy to lose it.”

Larry Summers, former Harvard president, decried the threat to remove Harvard's status.

“Any self-respecting Treasury Secretary would resign rather have the Department be complicit in the weaponization of the IRS against a political adversary of the President,” he said on social media. “Harvard will endure, and it is far, far from perfect, but if this directive is not withdrawn, the Administration will have taken another substantial step away from the rule of law and democracy.”

For the Trump administration, Harvard presents the first major hurdle in its attempt to force change at universities that Republicans say have become hotbeds of liberalism and antisemitism.

Trump’s campaign started at Columbia University, which initially agreed to several demands from the Trump administration but took a more emboldened tone after Harvard’s defiance. Columbia's acting president, Claire Shipman, said in a campus message Monday that some of the demands “are not subject to negotiation” and that she read of Harvard’s rejection with “great interest.”

Trump has targeted schools accused of tolerating antisemitism amid a wave of pro-Palestinian protests on U.S. campuses. Some of the government’s demands touch directly on that activism, calling on Harvard to impose tougher discipline on protesters and to screen international students for those who are “hostile to the American values.”

You can feel in one hand and count votes in the other and see which one fills up faster. The political beliefs you are referencing aren't as much of a priority right now when folks are having a harder time affording a living. And as I said a whole lot of that is Trumps fault......but they get paid on Friday, he was president 4 years ago when he did his damage, and gas is down today. Fair or not I'm not wrong cause the vote tally supports it.

I agree completely on DEI....but it went to far to the left......now there is out right racism going on. But people don't want to hear about DEI when their costs are up 30%. The end of it is better than the continuance when you're living off a credit card. And not enough people feel bad for Harvard to win an election in a decent size city. It's the wrong hill to die on.

I agree completely that neither party cares. The majority of Americans don't have 5K cash savings and don't care if wall st moves and don't feel the sting of that can mean immediately. Overtime on tax and tips is the biggest boost for middle class, blue collar, service workers in a long long time. That matters more and again it's something. The way the tariffs are being handled could blow up like a bomb.....but I manage a place where a mechanic makes $45-55/hr and we just had an outage.....not getting taxed on 20-25 hrs a week of OT for 4 weeks at 90-100 is a big deal and felt instantly....and at year end. A nurse can pick up extra shifts and pay for a vacation. The dems wanted to forgive student loans......student loan debt and lending practices is something that needs addressed.....but it hit with a smaller part of the population that has or should have more anyway. Again....what is the message and what is being done. I'm not defending Trump I'm telling you why the dems have a lower approval rating than Donald Trump.....the giant douche bag.

It's the marketing guys.....no one likes it. What does Carville say.....the job is to win you can't do anything if you don't win. And the dems are losing badly.
I made the statement that both parties have lost touch with reality...and yes, tRump won, (77mil to 75 mil), but that doesn´t mean dems have lost touch more than reps...if a rep had been in office instead of a dem, the dem would´ve won in ´24...we will surely disagree here, so let´s just call it ´agree to disagree´...
Which political beliefs did I reference that are not as much of a priority right now?! the only things I mentioned and responded to was DEI, the economy, and prices of goods...I think it´s comical when people way DEI moved too far left, when without it, hires move too far right...just look at the hires/appointments by tRump...I am in complete agreement with Harvard!!
Forgiving of student loans is a touchy one...I´m all for forgiving loans after years of service in public service...college $$$ is out of control, I would like to see us do something about that...and of course, our government bails out/forgives loans for others all the time...
as far as tRump´s tarrif wars, it appears he doesn´t know how tarrifs really work (I truly believe this)...and is just throwing stuff against the walls and seeing what sticks...

You and I will have to respectfully disagree (and it might just be semantics). They had a plan. It was well documented in over 900 pages and they are executing it far quicker than anyone thought. Trump lied about it and common sense Republicans put there heads in the sand.

Mandate for Leadership: The Conservative Promise (aka Project 2025) is unceremoniously being carried out. While a lot are rightfully concerned w DOGE or what bat sh!+ crazy comes out of HHS, the true levers of power are reshaping government in a way that will be difficult to correct where correction is an absolute necessity. This was always the end goal for the Tea Party/Freedom Caucus type. The average Magastani followed their cult leader and knows nothing about it bc he said he knew nothing about it. Plus as long as brown people are being given death sentences for a misdemeanor offense, who cares?

Can you please provide us with some hard data showing how many more illegal immigrants came in under Biden, but more importantly how many more illegal immigrants were allowed to vote under Biden?

Here is what you get when you go ALL IN for Trump

MyPillow: Weeping pro-Trump conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell tells judge he has no money to pay fines: ‘I’m in ruins’

Donald Trump supporter and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell sobbed to a judge that he is “in ruins” and cannot pay a court-ordered $50,000 fine.

Lindell has been ordered to pay voting software company Smartmatic the hefty fine over false claims he made about the company flipping the 2020 election for Joe Biden. It is one of a number of lawsuits Lindell faces over false election claims.

Now the troubled CEO claims that he doesn’t even have 5 cents left to pay the company the $56,396 he owes.

“I borrowed everything I can. Nobody will lend me any money anymore. I can't turn back time... but I will tell you, I don't have any money,” Lindell, who was described as being “teary” by ABC News, said while appearing via Zoom Wednesday at the hearing in a U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C.

“I’m in ruins,” he added. “I don’t have $5,000 or 5 cents,” Lindell told Judge Carl Nichols and asked for more time to pay the fine.

He claimed he has “nothing” except for two houses which are being liquidated, and a truck. The MAGA loyalist was recently forced to lay off hundreds of MyPillow employees as a result of his financial hardship, the court heard.

Lindell also claimed he and his company owe more than $70 million in back payments to the IRS.

Nicholas ruled that Lindell must prove the claims and gave him until Friday to provide documents.

“I have nothing to hide,” Lindell said.

Lindell is facing lawsuits in D.C. and Minnesota over his false election claims. Dominion Voting Systems is seeking $1.3 billion in a defamation lawsuit against him.

Last month Lindell was held in contempt of court for failing to hand over financial documents and other discovery material in the defamation lawsuit brought by Smartmatic.

“We haven’t held back anything. This is all corruption,” Lindell previously told The Independent. “They want me to stop talking about our election platforms. They’re not going to silence me. I will keep going until we get to paper ballots hand-counted and melt these machines down and turn them into prison bars.”
