You know......at some point Trumps polices are going to create some positives. My not be an overall net positive in the eyes of many, but some good will come from this.
Like I have told my maga friends, I hope I am wrong about trump...I hope he continues to build the economy, I hope he gets the price of gas under $2, I hope egg prices go down (actually this one is not a game changer for me), I hope US prospers, I hope he does better the 2nd time around than his bottom 5 ranking of presidents...I don´t give a rats @$$ which president helps our country, I just want me and my family to thrive...however, I don´t have much faith in a guy who only cares about himself and his rich buddies, I don´t like many EOś that he has already signed: WHO, Paris Climate Agreement, birthright citizenship, transgender discrimination, gulf of america (this one is just dumb and petty), DEI, federal workers back to work, J6ers (could be ok with some, not all), immigrants (get rid of criminals)...
That would be one of the first things he'd have done that I would truely support, but also out of character for him. But hey the defense industry has a lot of money and a lot to donate politically so maybe they bought his support.

It’s actually the most “in character “ thing Trump could do and I think that’s exactly what he will do along with the threat of sanctions on Russia’s oil companies (that are actually still in business) along with the third parties that are doing business outside the sanctions.
In another win for the people of this country, Trump canceled the $35 insullin cap...
Wait, that doesn't help anyone. The cap was going to be an example for applying to other medications, guess that is gone now too. Ugh.

What? He said all campaign long that the US shouldn't be sending weapons to Ukraine, how is this in character? Or is it because he wouldn't be doing what he said for months/years?

For the record, if Trump were to take money directly from Russia and use it to purchase arms/aid for Ukraine I'd be perfectly fine with it. That would be a perfect use of confiscated Russian funds. I don't know if there is a realistic mechanism for that to happen but we're talking what ifs here.
But yeah, he has been pretty against the war effort. Him doing an about face and getting tough on Russia would be completely out of character. Maybe he was just trying to be anti everything Biden and now is trying to figure out a realistic solution that doesn't make him look weak-cool if so but it's still not what it looked like he was going to do on the campaign trail.
