Trump Commerce Secretary Urges Fox News Viewers to Buy Tesla Stock Live on Air.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick drew sharp criticism Wednesday after urging Fox News viewers to buy shares in Tesla, the electric vehicle company owned by Elon Musk.

Talking to Fox’s Jesse Watters, Lutnick impassionately pitched: “I think if you want to learn something on this show tonight, buy Tesla. It’s unbelievable that this guy’s stock is this cheap. It’ll never be this cheap again.”

Lutnick later hyped the technological advancements being made by Musk, the world’s richest person, and his company.

“When people understand the things he’s building, the robots he’s building, the technology he’s building, people are going to be dreaming of today and Jesse Watters and thinking, ‘Gosh, I should have bought Elon Musk’s stock,’” said Lutnick. “I mean, who wouldn’t invest in Elon Musk? You gotta be kidding me.”
On Jesse Watters’ show, Howard Lutnick, the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, tells viewers they should buy Tesla stock.“I think if you want to learn something on this show tonight, buy Tesla. It’s unbelievable that this guy’s stock is this cheap. It’ll never be this cheap again.”

The ringing endorsement came amid a plummet in stock value for Tesla as Musk faces mounting backlash over his support for and role in President Donald Trump’s efforts to slash public spending.

Reports of violent attacks on Teslas have surged.

Trump himself recently held what critics called a Tesla promotional event outside the White House, fueling more controversy.

Lutnick’s boosting of Musk and his company sparked outrage online, with many accusing him of potentially violating ethics rules and the Hatch Act, which prohibits federal officials from using their positions for political or financial gain.

Scientist traveling for a conference in Texas was denied entry after customs searched his phone and found texts critical of Trump.

I'm not legal scholar but isn't that a 4th amendment violation to search through private electronics looking for specific content? Doesn't the constitution apply to EVERYONE once inside the US, not just citizens?

Border search exception to the 4th Amendment. No requirement for probable cause or even reasonable suspicion.

“[t]hat searches made at the border, pursuant to the longstanding right of the sovereign to protect itself by stopping and examining persons and property crossing into this country, are reasonable simply by virtue of the fact that they occur at the border, should, by now, require no extended demonstration.”

United States v. Ramsey, 431 U.S 606, 616 (1977)

New analysis says Trump budget plan will take from poorest 40 percent to give to the top 1%

An analysis by Yale University has found that a budget plan being considered by Republican lawmakers would ultimately transfer wealth from the poorest 40 percent of Americans to the richest 1 percent.

Researchers Harris Eppsteiner and John Ricco of Yale's Budget Lab found that the proposed GOP budget whose framework was supported last month in a vote by the House would include $4.5 trillion in tax cuts that would largely benefit the wealthy, along with $1.5 trillion in spending cuts, including to benefits for the public, including the poorest.

Approximately $230 billion of those cuts would come from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program — often shorted to SNAP — which helps poor families afford food.

Another $880 billion would come from cuts to Medicaid, which provides assistance for individuals with limited resources to pay for healthcare. It’s also the program that covers most costs for 60 percent of elderly Americans in nursing homes.

Both cuts would occur over a 10-year period.

"The overall effect of these policy changes would be regressive, shifting after-tax-and-transfer resources away” from households at the “bottom of the distribution towards those at the top," Eppsteiner and Ricco wrote in their analysis.

After-tax-and-transfer income refers to the income remaining after deducting all taxes and adding back government “transfers,” such as Social Security, Medicare, unemployment benefits, and so on.

Taxed households at the “bottom of the income distribution would see a reduction in after-tax-and-transfer income of 5 percent, those in the middle of the distribution would see a modest increase of 0.6 percent, and those in the top 5 percent of tax units [household] would see an increase of 3%,” wrote Eppsteiner and Ricco.

“More than 100 percent of the net fiscal benefit would accrue to the top quintile, the analysis added.

Donald Trump has repeatedly insisted that he will not cut Medicaid, but independent analysts have reported that the Republicans cannot achieve their budget without making severe cuts to the program.

Proposed Republican changes to Medicaid have already caused protests in several parts of the nation.

In addition to the cuts, the proposed Republican budget would also renew expiring provisions of Trump's Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, which itself was the largest transfer of wealth from the poor to the ultra-rich in U.S. history.

The report notes that the proposed plan it analyzed may change between now and whenever it may be passed in the future.

"As noted above, the Resolution passed by the House on February 25 does not specify how each committee is to meet its specified target. As such, the committees may ultimately endorse policy changes that substantially differ from those analyzed in this blog post," the authors wrote.

GOP chairs ‘very concerned’ over report of Trump changing military commands

The Republican chairs of the House and Senate Armed Services committees issued a joint statement on Wednesday criticizing the idea of the U.S. drastically changing its military combatant command structure, saying they “will not accept” those changes without coordination with Congress and other agencies.

The statement marks one of the first major instances of Republican lawmakers pushing back on President Trump in his second term.

House Armed Services Committee Chair Mike Rogers (R-Ala.) and Senate Armed Services Committee Chair Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) responded to an NBC News article published Tuesday that said the Pentagon is considering giving up its role as NATO’s supreme allied commander Europe, or SACEUR as part of restructuring of commands and headquarters.

“U.S. combatant commands are the tip of the American warfighting spear. Therefore, we are very concerned about reports that claim [the Defense Department] is considering unilateral changes on major strategic issues, including significant reductions to U.S. forces stationed abroad, absent coordination with the White House and Congress,” the two chairs said.

“We support President Trump’s efforts to ensure our allies and partners increase their contributions to strengthen our alliance structure, and we support continuing America’s leadership abroad. As such, we will not accept significant changes to our warfighting structure that are made without a rigorous interagency process, coordination with combatant commanders and the Joint Staff, and collaboration with Congress. Such moves risk undermining American deterrence around the globe and detracting from our negotiating positions with America’s adversaries,” Rogers and Wicker said.

The statement indicated that the chairs of the powerful committees, who oversee the crafting of annual military and defense authorization bills, could use the power of the purse and other legislative tools to combat such a change, should the Trump administration move forward with it.

The U.S. has had a four-star general oversee NATO military operations in Europe for 75 years, NBC reported. The current SACEUR, Army Gen. Christopher G. Cavoli, is also the head of U.S. European command and has overseen support to Ukraine.

I was just stating the law.

Hell Tennessee Passed a bill to make it ILLEGAL and a FELONY to vote against Trump Immigration Policies

Tennessee Senate Bill 6002/House Bill 6001 makes it a felony for local government officials to vote in support of "sanctuary" policies protecting immigrants in the country illegally. President Donald Trump's administration has taken steps to weaken so-called sanctuary laws that limit a local government's cooperation with federal immigration authorities, meaning this bill does attempt to criminalize voting against part of Trump's immigration policy agenda.

Kayleigh McEnany on The Five, Wednesday

McEnany mocked Sen. Mark Kelly’s (D-AZ) announcement he would be selling his Tesla he just purchased 60 days ago.

Kayleigh McEnany couldn't conceive why Democratic US Senator would get rid of his Tesla and tried to explain it in the following way

“The absolute absurd behavior of the left. He triggers liberals so much,” said McEnany during a discussion about vandalism against Musk’s Tesla factories and dealerships. “Mark Kelly, the supposed moderate, the guy who’s such a moderating voice in the Democratic Party, and here he is saying ‘Every time I get in the car over the last 60 days, it reminds me of the damage from Trump and Musk.'”
“Every time you got in your car in 60 days, have you thought about how much you hate Donald Trump?”
Who gets in their vehicle and for 60 days the thing on their mind is how much they despise a politician? This is entirely abnormal behavior.”

I Guess in Fox News MAGA world...this Never happened just LAST WEEK
