Trump 47

Needs to be charged with vandalism if that’s Lincoln’s Bible. Excuse me, forgot he’s above the law. Trampling the emoluments clause👌

Apparently, I just got fired by executive order. Work is gonna be interesting tomorrow.

Anybody have a small apartment for rent in Grand Junction, Colorado?

Are you remote somehow?

I'm starting to wonder if he's just a senile old man who really likes signing his name.

Yes. I have been being told by our execs that they were going after telework and the remote workers would not be affected. Instead, he went after remote work.

I worked for OKC until Nov 8th. I was asked to take a remote postion running a program out of Grand Junction, Co and accepted. Possibly a fatal mistake as there is also a hiring freeze so they can't hire me back in OKC.

""The executive order, which says that the heads of departments and agencies in the executive branch must “take all necessary steps to terminate remote work arrangements and require employees to return to work in-person at their respective duty stations on a full-time basis,” does not specify any new policies for employees who telework.""

I'm sorry that really sucks.

It's an attempt by the incoming administration to reduce the federal workforce and replace them with loyalists and you just got caught up in it. This seems really short sighted but unfortunately that's gonna be a common theme for a while.

Yep. It would be interesting to know what number of executive orders were undoing Biden EO’s. And/or replacing ones he did in his first term.

Probably quite a few, but a bunch of Bidens early ones were undoing what Trump did last time.

It does raise a concern though-if we are going to see a bunch of executive actions go back and forth every few years it's going to be increasingly difficult to enact policy that sticks. Also it becomes an issue for civil servants as they go through their careers-its going to be hard to make careers choices in the government sector when positions that have been traditionally non partisan are subject to the whims of whichever party happens to be in charge.
