I clearly stated that it should have been handled before Trump was elected. Biden, EU, NATO should have stepped in and driven him from Ukraine when he invaded.
That in no way implies that Trump is handling it well now.

If that should have happened then, why wouldn't it be what should happen now?

Nobody here has said it’s Trump’s fault that Russia invaded Ukraine. MAGAstani have said and are saying it’s Biden/EU/NATO’s fault Putin invaded Ukraine. It is Putin’s fault and no one else’s. Can we at least agree on that? Can we at least agree that we as a country have to come up with some type of response to Putin’s aggression? Can we at least agree that this country elected Trump, at least in part, because they believed he could get a fair and just peace in negotiations?

It’s Trump’s baby now. Should have dones, didn’t do-s, etc. are in the past. Can’t we at least agree that Putin is the problem aggressor to blame and it’s Trump’s responsibility to deal with it because elections have consequences.

You have studiously and completely avoided saying what you believe Trump should be doing re:Ukraine and have been absolving him of any responsibility.

You have completely blamed Biden, EU, NATO for not handling/stopping Putin earlier…..while not saying exactly how they should have done it other than what they did do in giving aid to Ukraine wasn’t the answer.

Whereas I have said explicitly that I liked the first part of Trump’s plan (heavy metal agreement) if it had come with security agreements for stopping any further aggression. Hell, I even said I’d be willing to compromise on land already taken from Ukraine by Russia. In response, all you’ve said is don’t want to provoke Putin with a security guarantee…WWIII…Yada, yada, yada.

What you have completely and utterly failed to do is opine on what Trump should do at this point other than what he was trying to do this week which is hand Ukraine over to Russia after we get half Ukraine’s their heavy metals.

I don’t think anybody here is blaming Putin’s past aggression (which IS the “entire situation”) on Trump.

But it is absolutely an indisputable truth it’s now Trump’s responsibility….whomever is to blame for Putin getting this far.

The past is the past. The future is Trump’s responsibility and his conduct so far has been woefully wrong minded, improper, and is making the problem worse by emboldening Putin so far IMO.
