To cut the federal work force while having no upset workers, Trump ought to offer an early out to all federal workers with a $15,000 incentive like what the Post Office has done in the past. For added incentive, those eligible for pensions could start collecting, if quitting while in their 50s. The only downside is not sure if the desired number of people would take advantage of it. There are only so many workers in their 50s or older.
