Is it the presidents job to unify the country or throw gas on fires?! Is it their job to help and protect the American people or to protect the 1%?! Pretty sure this is a clown statement. Sadly I have to say pretty sure. Yes when the deficit is what it is he needs to throw gas on fires. Heck the last 4 admins needed to be throwing gas on that fire. The division isn't of his making. I got no clue if he is trying to fix it or take power. All I can say is people are pissed beyond belief after being shown what is happening with their money. The polls are a joke. I can't tell you how many people I have talked down. I know y'all think I'm off the rails but I ain't that off the rails.

If their conclusion from the dog and pony show Musk is putting on is that everything so far is government waste you need to talk to different people. Everyone agrees that improved government efficiency with tax dollars needs to happen. Gutting departments and getting rid of everyone promoted in the last year of Bidens presidency is the exact opposite of that. Cutting funding approved by congress and likely in some cases the president himself during his last term just because while ignoring conflicts of interest that provide more government money to the person doing the cutting just because isn't going to change anything. You are just giving them the opportunity to waste tax dollars elsewhere.

This is probably going to blow up in their face at some point and that isn't going to make a dent in government spending-it might cost us more after the lawsuit payouts start happening.

I don't disagree. You want my answer. Cut it all other than SSI/Medicare and defense. If what they say is true that is all we can hope to afford anyway after interest payment on debt. Get the fed to go negative or 0 on their interest then we can afford some of the other stuff.

Do you realize how fucked up that last line is. Why are we paying a rate on what the treasury can do for free.

Nope not even close. I voted for RFK. The libertarian was insane. Kamala was insane. Trump was insane. RFK was not running but on my ballot. Best choice in my opinion. I couldn't vote for any of the insane people with a clear conscience.
