Trump 47

Right or Good For America?? Members of the GOP OR Voters who Register as Republicans have a serious question to ask themselves RIGHT NOW. Is what Trump is doing with our Allies, Our Adversaries, Our Institutions and making VAST power grabs , the way he is conducting Mass Deportations, in ANY WAY reflective the Principles the GOP adopted?

1. Individual Freedom
2. Limited Government
3. The Rule of Law
4. Peace Through Strength
5. Fiscal Responsibility
6. Free Markets
7. Human Dignity

If you can see that the Principles of Conservatism (FYI this list was written by Speaker Mike Johnson and a GOP Think Tank) are being trampled all over right now by Trump, then its time you understand you are a Conservative that No longer has a Party....because the Party of Trump is doing NOTHING to uphold the Principles THEY THEMSELVES tell us they should have.
6. Free Markets. Trump might as well declare the end to the federal minimum wage by issuing an EO to end it. After all, his corporate buddies would love to use the freed-up labor market to see how many people they can hire for a few dollars an hour. It could be realistic when the unemployment rate becomes unusually high.

I realize how unfathomable that seems to you.

Orrr....stay with me here, the Democratic Party has completely flipped its proverbial s#it.
Wasn't long before that they thought Trump himself was a swell guy.
When did the Democratic Party think Trump himself was a “swell guy”?

You’re gonna need to provide more evidence of that highly dubious proposition.

Well, he was really into the birther stuff so that's going back 12-13 years at least. Prior to that he was a rich guy who came across as narcissistic (stuff like the Home Alone 2 cameo) and he flirted with a reform party bid for President in 2000. In the 80's he was arguably the most famous yuppie on the planet.

I'm not sure where you get progressive icon in any of that.

If you have another election tomorrow Trump would get more votes than he did in November.

They really should have moved on after 2020. It's mindnumbing that enough of them didn't after Jan 6th.

buyers remorse is already blooming, should be full bloom by summer...the hard core maga´s and/or GOPs are loving tRump and his backwards ways (not surprisingly), but the people who only voted him because he was gonna get rid of the ´bad hombres´ and lower prices and fix the economy are realizing he ain´t just getting the bad hombres, and he ain´t doing jack $h!t about prices and economy...but keep drinking that kool aid...

Keep telling yourself that and, by all means, continue to double down on what got you beat the last time.

I doubt that. His handlers knew Project 2025 was a turn off to a bunch of voters so they had him downplay it. The people who don't believe in democracy were gonna support him no matter what so they aren't going to change. The people who hate him aren't going to change. The people wanting lower inflation might look at the past month and think things might have been better than they realized.

Still waiting on my cheaper eggs. Heck, now I'm waiting on eggs period.

Too many people refuse to pay attention to anything but their wallet, so they still won't care until they either lose their job, house or inflation goes way up again. They don't care about DOGE, Ukraine or anything else outside of their hometown.

LOL, Did you call it ignorance when your party insisted Biden was sharp as a tack?

I wonder how many of them who voted for him have either been impacted by the cuts/job loss or are looking at what's going on and starting to get concerned.

It was more denial than ignorance.

Speaking of that, how do you think Trump is doing with his mental awareness these days? You call the president of another country a dictator and that he started a war EVERYONE knows he didn't, that has to raise some questions about his mental capabilities.
