Trump 2024 Run Thread

Close.

Not too dumb to pick up on it.

Too ethically challenged themselves to care about it.

I don’t get into the name calling side of Trump stuff.

He was a successful businessman; The Trump Taj Mahal and his divorce to Ivana broke him. His money comes in from licensing and branding and he’s great at that.

He’s no longer a real estate developer, he’s a carnival barker. Which is fine, but just be transparent about it.

That’s the reason he doesn’t release his taxes. He’s a pitchman, not a builder.

It’s wild so many people can’t see this.

The truth is more damaging than a lie could be.

Trump Praises ‘Rich as Hell’ Donors, Vows: ‘We’re Gonna Give You Tax Cuts’

You are all people that have a lot of money!' he gushed to Mar-a-Lago crowd

Former President Donald Trump hailed "rich as hell" donors attending a political fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago and vowed to get them tax breaks.
Trump made the comments at a fundraiser Thursday evening for North Carolina Republican Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, who Trump predicted will be a political "star." Video of the speech surfaced Saturday on Mediaite.

"But you got to help [him] financially because you are all people that have a lot of money!" he told the crowd. "I know 20 of you, and you’re rich as hell," he said to laughter.
He then vowed to wild cheers: "We're gonna give you tax cuts."

He also said he's "pay off the debt" — but didn't detail how he would balance the nation's budget with tax cuts if he makes it back to the White House. Republicans have been targeting social service programs including Social Security and Medicare to save money.
Trump said late last month he was considering "alternatives" to the Affordable Care Act, and that Republicans' refusal to "terminate" it when he was president was a "low point." More than 40 million Americans rely on the health care system.

He's a con man/grifter.

That's it. That's all. Always has been. Always will be.

When he was "in real estate" he was working the long con. Now he's moved on to the short con game just straight up bilking willing, gullible folks out of their money directly.

The border patrol is more than capable of shutting down the border...they did it last time Trump was in Office during the COVID border closing.....There is literally no need for this...especially pulling US troops out of countries "that don't like us"

Donald Trump Proposes Deploying Thousands of Troops on US Soil

Donald Trump said he plans to have federal law enforcement protect the southern border and relocate troops stationed overseas.

In a speech at a campaign rally in Reno, Nevada, on Sunday, the former president said he wants to move employees at agencies such as the FBI, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to help control what Trump called an invasion at the U.S.-Mexico border.

The hardline immigration remarks from Trump came after he was condemned by the White House and others for echoing rhetoric of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler after he claimed during a rally in New Hampshire on Saturday that immigrants are "poisoning the blood" of the United States.

The comments also came after Trump, the front-runner in the 2024 GOP presidential primary, recently said that he'll only act as a "dictator" on "day one" if he returns to the White House.

"I will shift massive portions of federal law enforcement to immigration enforcement, including parts of the DEA, ATF, FBI and DHS," Trump said in Reno. "And I will make clear that we must use any and all resources needed to stop the invasion of our country, including moving thousands of troops currently stationed overseas in countries that don't like us.

"They laugh at our current president, they think he's a fool and we shouldn't be there. We have to protect our own borders first. Before we defend the borders of foreign countries, we have to get our act together. We have to be able to do it for ourselves."

The remarks came days after Rolling Stone, cited unnamed sources, reported that Trump is hoping to deploy between 100,000 and 300,000 troops to the border if he wins the election as he aims to ramp up his immigration policies during a second term.

I really think the liberal media is making the same mistake by giving him any sort of screentime.

I'm not rich and once again Trump lost me in 2016 when he said wages are too high. So, I still don't understand the appeal for him unless it's because he is against immigrants, especially illegal ones and because he isn't too cowardly to call his opponents names including Republicans, "human scum". But doing that goes against Reagan's 11th Commandment. Meanwhile, I wonder if Trump will ever get around to promising his lower income supporters tax cuts who may only give him a measly 20-dollar bill.
