It will be very interesting to watch how they do at their new destinations.

I'm sure Edwards will do well, but I'll keep an eye on Wark, Anderson, and Aycock

2025 RHP Preslee downing from Owasso commits the cowgirls. Originally signed with Stephen F Austin. Has led Owasso to multiple state championships. It also shows the transfer portal is dry when it comes to pitching

Also found out that our 2025 RHP signee Makayla Smith had TJ surgery in march, so she’s medically redshirting. Makes more sense why we needed Downing!!

If she's led Owasso (big school) to multiple state titles, I'd venture to guess that at worst there's a good basis for the staff to be able to work with. I'd be willing to bet a girl from Owasso who was committed to SFA probably is pretty thrilled to be able to get a shot at a place like OSU and will value that opportunity. I'll be rooting for her to succeed, cause that means we kick using local talent.

If we have a fresh Meylan, and a healthy Crandall, we just need someone who can come in and throw strikes for an inning or two on weekends and start an occasional midweek game, especially early in the season.

What we had last year was 2 down staff pitchers that were so in their own heads they weren't even serviceable. If Preslee can just be decent, it's an upgrade.
