Transfer Portal Thread

Texas Tech has commitments from four of the top 10 players in the portal.
Kaitlyn Terry P from UCLA - 98 (On3 ranking)
Jasmyn Burns C from Ohio State - 97
Mia Williams 2B from Florida - 96
Taylor Pannell 3B from Tennessee - 98
Also got a commitment from Southern Illinois SS Jackie Lis, who was first team All MVC.

It really sucks, but this is the reality of college sports. All the other teams in college softball will be playing for second place.

This is a problem. The bigger problem is if we do get to the 2 superconference model, Tech is showing they are more than willing to spend with the big boys across the board.
 
Tech will be the best team by far in the big XII. OU and Texas will have something to say nationally. Hard for kids to turn down six figures. Tech will likely be running this conference for the foreseeable future if they can keep this up.

☝️This, they are the Beverly Hillbillies version of Texas and Texas A&M (Jethro and Granny, not Uncle Jed) when it comes to football, A&M still has problems getting it right even with the huge amounts of money in the coffers down in College Station!!! 😑

Edwards could’ve basically picked her school. A&M is a good fit for her since they lose Powell to graduation. between Edwards, koko woolery, and KK Dement, and Perez..they might have one of the top 3 infields in the country.

As far as our side…we’ve struck out on several kids. Still waiting to hear from notre dame SS and the LHP from Belmont maya Johnson.
 
He seriously needs to find $1 million and buy Jordy Bahl. You have to have a top 5 pitcher to have a chance. Try and entice her/her bf to come down for a year. That’ll spark what Tech is doing. Runner up run and now they’re a top 3 power all of a sudden. We were a top 4 team now have fallen to barely a top 25 team
 
Jordy Bahl left OU to come back and pitch in her home state. No amount of money is going to bring her here. She’s loyal to the state of Nebraska and wanted to near family.

The only major pitcher we’re on is LHP maya Johnson and we’re in a dog fight to land her. Took her official visit here already and has multiple stops to make.

I'm sure he would if he could. We definitelyneed another pitcher, but also a SS and a 3B

Kenny is in a tough spot
