It’s a pathetic product on the floor and Lutz should be embarrassed based on the money that’s been invested in this roster. Some didn’t believe a month or so ago when I said it was a 7-8mil roster. RA this week on radio repeatedly said basketball had 7mil in this roster.

So not only has the financial investment been made, we hired a coach who was supposed to be able to guy that could do more with less. So much for that! Should have hired Ben McCollum who a lot were saying at the time and took Drake to the NCAA in his first year and has Iowa on track for the tournament in his first year there as well.

I was buying back in to OSU men's bball during that non con run and then we got blown out by OU so I thought "here we go". Then I lost complete interest again after we started looking clueless in the first couple of conference games. Now I don't even really know when we have games. I saw a clip of the buzzer beater come across my facebook feed so I came over here to see what the score was. We lost to Colorado by 14? Freakin awesome. JFC.

How do we keep hiring coaches who don’t run any semblance of a half court offense. “Get a shot up in the first 12 seconds of the shot clock” is not an offense.

We've had Ford, Boynton, and now Lutz offenses where in the half court it is just stand around and occassionally try to get the ball to the post player. ZERO ball movement. He’s probably lucky Fallah and Ousamane are good post scorers or it’d be even worse.


Defensively I cant tell if its Lutz defense or if its just this sad sack of lazy players is making it look worse than it is.

This is what bugs me. Neither Boynton or Ford were particularly good Xs and Os coaches, but you can't say their teams didn't improve. There's nothing worse than watching a team throw in the towel.

It's hard to say if that's all on Lutz though. The portal era has shown us that when players become mercenaries for hire, their motives change. Teams are now built for a single season, so how do you get your players to care about building something for the future? At this point, the best thing these guys can do is not get hurt.

Doesn’t matter. That is his job and he is failing. This team is defensively inept. Help defense seems to be a foreign concept to these guys. Effort is not sustained. Offensively they stand around while whoever has the ball dribbles and dribbles and dribbles until they “find” a shot. Ball handling and passing is poor. It is definitely a group of misfit toys. But he recruited em, so he needs to coach em up. He doesn’t seem capable of doing it. I honestly hate to say this, but it is already obvious Lutz is another miss by the athletic department.

To me, the 4 that kill us the most consistently with with either dumb
mistakes or poor defensive effort are C Coleman, Roy, Clary, and Curry.

Otherwise the rest could come back. Man, I hope most of them don't.

I think he has to find a real PG. Clary and Curry aren't it. I'd ask them both to
move on. And take both of their NIL packages and find one guy.
