We lose a lot of important practice time without a bowl game that actually helps with the next season. But I guess that means more time for recruiting, if a coach can be bothered to recruit in the new NCAA football landscape.

With roster turnover, being able to evaluate and go after transfers might be more important than the extra practices.

The most important signing that I am focused on during this 24-25 season is that of Bo Bassett. Wrestling was the first OSU sport I followed and this kid would be program changing! We are never going to be Alabama in football. I want us to be good in all sports for sure but in wrestling, we are the Alabama of that sport and we’ve lost that the past 15 years and need to get it back!

Looking at the progression we have seen this season, I doubt we would have gained anything from the extra bowl game practices.

Speaking of, they just hired Ben Arbuckle, OC from WSU. Look for things to improve quickly.
