ryan walters

According to my quick Grok question it is. 🤷‍♂️
It would seem someone would have to document the meeting by writing it down in case it needs to be reviewed.

On FOX 25, the third board member who couldn't see the TV but sensed something inappropriate had happened said he hasn't talked with Stitt in 2 years.

KFOR on the 6pm news said the sheriff's department said the investigation is still in its infancy unlike what Walters had said.

I honestly don't see this going anywhere. Our legislators seem to have surrendered to the idea that the only thing he can be impeached for is being found guilty of a crime. I don't think there's a snowballs chance in hell of any charges being filed or him being found guilty. All this is doing is giving him more national attention and giving our state yet another black eye when it comes to other states view of us.

I believe it was during an executive session and no electronic devices are allowed though. I'm certainly fine with being corrected if I have that wrong though.
This is the correct answer.
Is it normal for executive sessions to be no electronics?
Yes. And no formal minutes. And definitely no electronic recording.

It’s actually the opposite. No official minutes are taken and the informal notes are confidential and not subject to discovery.

If it stays in the state it is right now, I agree. If forensic examination of the devices reveals stuff, maybe not.

Maybe he overplays his hand and pisses off the wrong people in power?

If the forensics reveal porn this time, there is a chance that it could reveal other times, too. That would most likely be a pretty big stumbling block for Walters.

His response today was just such "little Trump syndrome"... The dude just cannot take any negative news without lashing out and blaming everybody else and accusing people of some conspiracy against him. I hope people look back at these last couple years the next election cycle and think "WTF, we can't do that again". I know MAGA will MAGA but hopefully the the more sane conservatives will have a wake up moment.

I hope you are right, but I think the world has changed. I think politicians in the past feared the media and knew they could get away with little lies but got trounced if caught doing something bad.

Now, they can do whatever they please, and their supporters are going to support them because they won't believe the media that is "against" them and the media on their side will defend them.

I'm curious to see if he survives this. If he does, it just shows that the usual methods we had to control the power of the politician have been taken away.

Ummmm I’m no techie, but can’t they simply go into whatever computer displayed porn and find out?!
How come politicians have a different playing field than others? If this were a school administrator instead of Ryan, would they be suspended and/or investigated?!

Roy Cohn's 3 rules of winning are to attack, deny everything, and always claim victory.

A strange turn. Republicans are spreading the rumor that Oklahoma school board members were only seeing a Fox News promo to pay tribute to Hulk Hogan's life. He recently died. Board members supposedly mistook Hogan and his opponent shown in a wrestling ring corner as looking like two nude blond women. In another brief scene the wrestling mat was probably mistaken as the chiropractic table. But probably the Fox News logo was on the bottom of the screen at the time and if it was visible from their vantage point they should not have jumped to the conclusion it was some kind of porn. Republicans now hope the porn story will soon just go away.

Chiming in, here, because I recently had a conversation about this topic with my mom, who is currently losing lifelong friends over this issue. My mom is very conservative, but more in the true conservative sense. She views the extreme right as insane, and has recently started speaking out against the current political leaders in Oklahoma on social media, writing to politicians, and debating with friends about issues. Her friends (mostly white, Christian women in their mid to late 60's) live in hyper insulated echo chambers, and are becoming so upset by her criticisms that they are shutting her down and refusing to discuss it with her any longer. Her best friend has actually told her that they can't spend time together over the disagreement. This same friend refuses to acknowledge and gets offended by the notion that these people have flaws and/or are horrible humans.

It appears that the people who voted for Trump, Walters, etc...will not be swayed towards reason. They have made these people their deity at this point, so any criticism of them is a threat to their worldview and identity. Whatever category my mom falls into (reasonable conservative?) is now considered hostile to the extreme right.

This isn't unique to the extreme right, obviously, but my mom's experience is pretty telling of what's going on in Oklahoma.
