Well, if you’re going to be on the loser side losing game one probably worked out best. Allowed us to pitch more down staff, some early BP, and more rest going into tomorrow. Now hopefully Duke and UGA have an 18 inning slug fest tonight.

Got to give the coaching staff credit, it was a gamble pitching down staff today but it was clearly the right move and it gives them a chance tomorrow. If Youngerman can get over his illness, having Bodendorf for game 1 and Youngerman for game 2 gives you a legitimate chance to get to Monday if the offense shows up and we make routine plays defensively. The "low risk" move would've been Bodendorf today but once you went all in on saving him yesterday in an attempt to win the regional then it was the right move to do today.

Good to see the Cowboys score a lot. Kudos to Watkins, Rhoads and Lund. Wasn’t always pretty but they got the job done with the run support they had.
Hopefully the pitcher they see tomorrow morning doesn’t have his best stuff and the bats stay alive. The Cowboys need to continue to score early and often.
