Oklahoma is going backwards

I’m pretty sure increasing the age of consent from 16 to 18 is probably a good step forward rather than backward.

They can’t seem to figure out that they need to amend two different sections to get it done though.
Yep. It’s kind of an eye roll to the thread

The video is a prime example of a politician speaking about a subject without knowing the facts. If he would have just taken a small amount of time he would have seen the police video about what and who first instigated the incident in the restroom. And insinuating school administration did something wrong again without knowing or at least taking time to learn facts of the incident.
Some public officials just can’t help themselves attacking school teachers and educators.

Right-wing groups, Catholic Church are behind effort to change how Oklahoma judges are appointed

Among them is the OCPA, the far-right Christian lobby group that has the infamous Ten Commandments monument formerly at the state capitol now standing outside its building. Interesting that no church apparently wanted to secure it.

Republicans are plenty strong in Oklahoma and don't need to change how the State Supreme Court is selected. But many Republicans would like to blur the distinction between church and state. They would likely want judges who would often rule from the Old Testament and perhaps some from the New Testament, rather than only from the state and federal constitution.

I wonder if Ryan Walters will be treated at OSU better than Kyle Rittenhouse was during his appearance at Memphis University. Turning Point also sponsored Rittenhouse.
