OC and DC Possibilities - New DC Todd Grantham, OC Doug Meacham

Belichick was fired by the Browns
Pete Carroll was a total mess as HC of the Patriots

Sometimes decent/good/great coaches are in really dysfunctional situations and it ain't gonna work no matter who it is. Other than this year, the situation at OSU is nowhere near dysfunctional. I'll ride with the guy assuming we'll get at or close to his positive results until proven otherwise. Ready for an improvement, and I expect that won't be too tall of a task (only one way to go from here!)
To be fair to Pete, he was far from a mess in NE. His only crime was that he wasn’t Bill Parcells.

Absolutely any OC in the country will be an improvement. The only way our new OC could possibly be worse than Dunn is if the team turns around, runs the wrong direction, and spikes the ball in our own endzone.
The Jim Marshall offense.

The major difference being that Bowman hadn't played any meaningful snaps in 2 years, hadn't thrown for more than 1600 yards in a season in 4 years, and had 34 TDs to 18 INTs in his entire 5 year career at that point. Compared to 3800, 31 and 12 last season doesn't really seem like much of a comparison.
Yeah, I was meaning more because it’s another rent a QB situation for a year (Bowman’s turned into 2 years). Obviously since he has a solidified starting job, he’s trying to upgrade schools ( and $$$) but I’m sure he is fully expecting to start wherever he goes. Not sure in our current QB room who is staying or going but it’s concerning that now you have a guys that have been in the program 1,2 and 3 years and we are looking at paying and bringing in a guy for 1 year. And if you are paying a 4th year guy, it’s probably going to be fairly significant, and not to just “compete” or backup.

Also, really thought we’d seen the last couple of years how critical it is to have a QB run game. Morris is somewhat mobile, but I don’t think he really looks to run much. About 5 times a game for 20 yards.

His only real success as a HC was at NE with Brady. After Brady left things went downhill
Nope; was talking about Pete Carroll.
Belichick got fired in Cleveland, he bailed on the Jets to go to NE. Belichick's Jets tenure was just long enough to crawfish them.

Noted, but I still stand by my statement. Belichick's career was made by Brady. He was very meh outside of his time riding Brady's arm.

Pete Carroll was OK at NE, nothing special. He did better in Seattle after his stop by USC to get a bunch of NCAA violations.

Lol, winning more SB’s than anyone in history isn’t a fluke.
How many has he been to as a HC without Tom, now how many has Tom had without him? He's a well under .500 coach (84-103) without Tom Brady.

Then the ran off the reason he won all those rings.
