So who should we target for our OC and DC positions? Who do you think is the most likely additions?
Only D1 level guys that have had success at this level and weren’t recently fired…….
This would really surprise me. I think Jimmy Rogers will be a head coach at the FBS level next year.Someone mentioned Jimmy Rogers from SDSU as DC. I'd make an exception for someone like that but in general yeah-no more projects who would be in over their head.

In a perfect world……
Zac Robinson for OC
Gary Patterson for DC
Listened to pistols firing blog on the road today and they said there was mutual interest from zrob and ostate! Would be awesome, one of the best young QB gurus around, might get us a 5 star QB.In a perfect world……

I think Knowles might be looking for a landing place though. Day is a moronI would be ok with Craddock, (Tulane) Zac (Falcons), anyone with a top 20 offense the last year or two.
Apperantly we targeted SDSU's coach to be our DC. I would be ok with that. I would love a Knowles return, although we have as good as chance as Monken coming back as OC IMO. Nick Bendetto (SIU) would be a great choice. I think Brian Smith (Rice) would be a mistake and I'm not sure Skyler Cassidy (Sam Houston) is ready.
I think Day might be looking for a landing place... not that I'd ever want him around our program.I think Knowles might be looking for a landing place though. Day is a moron
Please not Yurcich again.A few dream candidates:
1. Zac Robinson (Just imagine the hype this would bring if we signed him as OC & HCIW.)
2. Jim Knowles (There are reports he may not be happy working for Ryan Day.)
3. Ryan Walters (He sucked as a HC, but he was dominant as a DC.)
4. Jim Leonhard (He's a position coach at Denver working off a 1 year contract. Don't know if we could pull him back to college with a big contract or not.)
More realistic candidates:
1. Brennan Marion (His go-go offense at UNLV is fun to watch.)
2. Mike Yurcich (He's had a top 20 scoring offense in 8 of his 10 years as an FBS OC, and he's an excellent recruiter.)
3. Brian Smith (He's had some stout defenses at Rice, and he would have recruiting ties in this region.)
4. Nick Benedetto (He's an up and comer that's done well at NIU.)
The one name I'm hearing I'm not excited about is Joe Craddock. His career scoring average is lower than Dunn's, and he struggled at his only P5 stop. I think we can do better.
I was assuming he was trolling with that inclusion lolPlease not Yurcich again.
This!Don’t listen to guessers
lol, not trolling. Yurcich had a top 20 scoring offense in 5 of his 6 years here, and he recruited Rudolph & Sanders. IMO, he’s the most underrated coach we’ve had during the Gundy era. I think I’m the only one that likes him.I was assuming he was trolling with that inclusion lol
