National Duals Tournament Nov 15-16

Tired of losing to Iowa ugh. This was a winnable dual considering Vega and Dee locket winning.

I think DT is going to have to put Jamison back at 149. Swiderski and spratley losing was brutal and killed our chances of winning.

I thought Facundo and Ryder did well. Most impressed with Lockett, vega and Robideau.

We will need spratley to get back to his winning ways and probably put Jamison back in and I feel like we can beat Iowa in round 2

Ugh...wanted that Iowa duel so bad! They don't wrestle and just stall, stall, stall. It's aggravating after sitting through the last 2 duels in GIA. Their fans are the goons of wrestling! Spratley getting caught after a late aggressive move sucked! He had that match and could have just given up a stall point and walked away with the win...and possibly the duel. Swiderski...no comment.

The 3 true freshman in lineup look great. After National Duals (and Stanford) they should be viewed as title contenders who at a minimum will place pretty high. Despite tough losses, Spratley has to be viewed same way.

At 174, 184, 197, and 285, have to view those guys as having a chance to make AA, but no sure thing. And not title contenders.

133 and 149 are weak spots. I don't know what happened to Casey after All Star match. And Fig does not look good at 133.

At 133 we have Hughes, if he can make weight. I think he is very good. At Mich St open he pounded guy from Wisc who placed 4th. Does anyone have any info on him. If he can't make 133, maybe he can make jump to 149. Other options at 133 are Ramirez who wrestled at National Duals (and looked OK), McComas and guy from Japan. I think Hughes can AA, I doubt the others can.

At 149 we have Jameson who was round of 12 guy last year at 141. And he was too big for 141, 149 may be a better weight for him. We have Travis who did pretty good last year at 149 at NCAAs and Carter Young. So we have some options, but other than Jameson, I doubt the others can AA.

Hard to say...on the guys we have for 133 or 149...they have been in a much different room over the last year. Look at Doucet!? That guy is completely different from 2yrs ago!
Outside of Swiderski, there is a noticeable difference in all wrestlers' approach this year. They are definitely bonus driven when the opportunity is there.
