well Charlie did catch the ball quite well so i thought he was a good tight end for us. he was also a good olineman in the NFL i dont know where he went to.

Martel Van Zant. Dude was an absolute dog. If he wasn’t born deaf he would have played in the league a long time. 
Vernon Grant. Dude bled orange. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dude fully embraced by the fan base like that guy was. Ollie got close. Gone too soon. Would love to see him in the ring of honor one day.

Vernon Grant will always be one of my favorites. I've said it on here before, but I'm old enough to repeat mysef: My favorite memory of him was his freshman preseason, the first time I heard of him - he was booted from a very early season practice because he wouldn't stop hitting the veterans too hard in what was supposed to be a "thump" drill (light contact, no tackling). I told my son this guy will be playing by mid-season. Nothing a coach likes more than a guy not afraid to hit people.
