Speaking at a Pentagon briefing on the Iran war, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was asked about the confusing surrounding negotiations with Iran and if there’s a way to move forward without seriously injuring civilians.

So basically China and Russia during this sad sack’s first and second terms have learned cheap virus and cheap ally pressure. Meanwhile Mango Mussolini is going to spend north of $1.5T on fancy weapons that he has now shown to be of no consequence.

except that it´s just another example of tRump not having a real plan in place, and then of course blaming others...knee jerk reactions is all he does, then wipes his hands of his wrongdoings...so sick and tired of him and his ego...
hereś an idea for Iran: open the Strait for all countries except the US and Israel...not sure how feasible that is, but worth a look...

That door has already been opened though. It was apparent early that there was no plan in place other than expect them to immediately surrender.

I don't know what the answer is here and although I agree that all of these options are terrible, for someone who clearly is incapable of thinking beyond right now it's probably the most palatable one for him politically. And that's all he cares about.

He sends troops in and there will be even more domestic backlash. He thinks he can control the media like Putin does but he can't keep people on social media from talking about what's going on-you start seeing the children and grandchildren of people who voted for him 3 times coming home in body bags and alot of the support he still has evaporates.

He keeps bombing them and they just dig in further-the longer it drags on the more it impacts the world economy. He can try and rig the election all he wants but if gas is $5 this fall it won't matter.

He washes his hands of it, claims victory, hopes things go back to normal afterwards and spends the summer and fall talking about how he had to clean up Europes mess-its 100% bs but his supporters have bought bigger bs already so why not give it a shot?

So, did Trump's military advisors tell him Iran would likely close Hormuz and there would be little if anything that could be done to counter it. Or they did, but Trump listened to Israel, instead? They would finish off Iran during the weekend.
