Middle East

Yep. Modern war costs a lot of money. Still sounds low to me. Is it worth it? No, of course not. Does it piss me off that we could actually be spending this money on something to help the American people, like healthcare? Yep. Still, in the big picture $11 billion (or $1 billion a day) just doesn't seem like much.
Spending money on that AND cutting money for this

Honestly, $11 billion sounds low. I would have thought it was a lot more than that. No telling where we will end up at though. Just hope it doesn't come anywhere close to the Iraq debacle.

Of course, if I as an American citizen had a really clear idea of what the heck all of this is for, then I might feel a little better about it. It isn't just the money. Mostly the loss of lives. However, right now I'm just shaking may head, thinking not this sh!@ again.

Yep. Even bad answers are answers. The war in Iraq was based on terrible reasoning but that's hindsight. At the time the Bush administration laid out what they thought (or at least what they wanted us to think) was going on in Iraq and gave both the world and American citizens a justification for war.

We don't have a clue why we are doing this in Iran and it seems clear that the administration doesn't either. This is going to be us bombing the hell out of them for reasons, calling it good and going home. There doesn't seem to be any logic other than that. It's like a 10 year old is playing Civilization and just got nukes.

reminds me of a drunken college kid...or maybe a toddler...instinctively acts and doesn´t/can´t think about the next move...

Unfortunately some people seem to like that message.

That also reminds of the John Oliver story this past weekend about the USAID cuts. Extremely depressing. Yes I know Oliver is extremely biased, but when he is right, he is right.
